I'm not sure how old you are. But many of us started playing 10 years ago and are now in our mid 20s to early 30s, with jobs, real obligations and several people having families and kids to take care of. Three to four days played (75-100 hours) to reach end game is considered the norm these days, and most of us who couldn't care less about PvM and want to play it for "old school" WoE would be happy if Gravity tried to accommodate us instead of going for what feels like a quick money grab. Also, it was 1.25x on Chaos, 1.5x on Ymir.

If the game was setup in a way so you could party to 80+ without carrying dead weights, it would be more enjoyable, but that is not the case. Not everyone who plays this game likes grinding. Also, renewal WoE cannot be compared to either pre-trans and trans WoEs.

Wow. At first I didn't know if himz was serious or not because of the ridiculousness of this thread.

1.5x being too fast lol. I can't believe that anyone would actually say that especially with how we're in episode 5. In 5 days there's not even many high leveled characters and even if there were some level 90's. Level 90 is not even 25% of the way to 99.

Was never a glitch. Back then all MVP mobs gave exp, just that LoD had giant whispers and that the mvp was healable so all you needed was:
1 Tank (afk knight)
X number of leechers (also afk)
1 Wiz to cast SG over mvp and his mobs
1 Priest to heal mvp to make sure infinite farming

I think simply put, LoD was easiest to handle/best exp? And that he was healable was a plus.

But yeah I recall seeing this stuff pre-re with any sort of miniboss/MVP that had a decent number of respawning slaves.

Kinda good we don't have that right now so that isn't entirely a fail since we're starting a little ahead of the unintended features. Though I still question things like MVP Strengths at times.

All in all I'm understanding these gears are only in for 2 weeks and the 1.5x is temporary so It's as good as a headstart as we'll get. Once the EXP Boost (If they plan to default this to 1x) and the gears are gone I can sense a bit of crying afoot...

I thought it was skeleton generals and zombie masters.

You didn't even need to heal the MVP. It had greater range than its mob so if you set it up properly, you could kill the mob without touching the MVP at all.

If I have one regret about classic RO, it's not having LODed all my characters. Grinding for thousands of hours only made me bitter and cynical.

vagabond wolfs mob respawns and gives exp last i checked idk of any others but i know i used to level my homuns on his mob

Lol I only did my wiz and that's cause I was the only wizard online at the time we got a summon. After I did get 99, I felt so ashamed because of the stigma attached to LoD leveling that I mained FS priest and int/vit bard and never really played wiz again. And legit leveled them too. :<
