The GoCash summer offer of the East West Costume Box is a really nice touch. Some really cool headgears (Sakkat, Cowboy Hat, Dark Blinker, Pirate Dagger) aviable as Costume Items? A great offer.
Unfortunally, there's a huge downside to it.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who purchased more then one box in the attempt to get several of those headgears. I even opened the boxes with two accounts, hoping that both accounts would get above named headgears. And of course I failed, having one account only get Sakkats and the other one only get Cowboy Hats. Bad Luck.
But now I have around 5 Sakkats on one account. They're not tradeable (which would've been a easy solution to my problem, since I could've just traded one of the Sakkat's to my other account). This also means, the only thing I can do now with these Sakkats is selling them to the NPC - which in all honesty is a shame.
And I really ask myself... why?

I can understand from the point of GoCash, that they wanna sell as many cards as possible - and as long as these items aren't tradeable, people might buy new cards in the hope of getting their prefered headgear. Sure.
But since the philosophy of the server is "No Costume Headgears will be tradeable", it's not that we could just wait for the event to end and trade the headgears afterwards.

And that brings me to the point - why are Costume Headgears, at all, not tradeable? What would it cause for a harm, if they're free to trade?
It can't be because of bots, since most Costume Headgears are Cash Shop items. Those who're coming from events are limited and could easily stay account bound for the events duration, but become tradeable afterwards, like it's often done with new lucky box headgears. You made the other Kafra Shop Headgears tradeable, stuff like Peco Peco Hairband etc, and it didn't hurt anyone. So why are you so strict with Costume Items?

If there's a good reason for it, I won't complain any further.
But if this is the case, maybe you could think about adding a npc who trades in the Costume Headgears of the East West Costume Box for another one of the box? So that we can get rid of all the doubled headgears, without selling them to the npc? ^^

Send in a ticket and ask nicely if you could transfer the extras to an account of your choice if that's what you want. Otherwise I don't think you can do much with the heagears sadly unless they actually decide to implement that idea.

I allready did and even though it was no problem to transfer an Account Bound Shaman Set from the DS game a while ago, I was told that this kind of service normally isn't done and therefor they can't help me.
I also replied and asked where exactly the difference between both transactions is, but haven't got an answer yet.

That asside, this still is an issue. It surely isn't as important as the Classic Server or other issues that are around right now - but I think it can't hurt to bring it on the desk - not just for me but for everyone who has doubled headgears and nothing to do with them, especially since this could come up again in the future, as long as Costume Items can't be traded by default.

I'm gonna be blunt, if transferring Hugel Medals and KVM Weapons are usually granted... where is the problem with transferring one extra costume headgear to a second account?

Sigh... Sometimes I don't understand these guys at times.

Also yeah I have a lot of zorro mask costumes and nothing to do with em, same with angry snarls...

The 2:1 Exchange NPC would be nice (Bring 2 of any costumes to exchange for 1 box)

Plus it would allow me to get rid of the extras without clogging up storage...

If you ask really nicely and provide in great detail, the gm team may grant you special consideration. I stupidly deleted and remade a character I used a enlarge weight box on and they were able to refund me the box, even though I was at fault and a complete idiot. Just have to be nice and really clear and maybe... Also it might be due to the many bot/bug reports I submitted and trying to be nice to the gm team in support tickets. Who knows?

As I said - I did.
And I'm always nice and polite, especially when I'm the one requesting something.
So... either the support member I catched didn't wanted to, or there's a block to trading Costume Gear...
Maybe I write Corvus a pn.

You can try Corvus or Oda/Heim. See what they say about it.

Apperantly, they moved the request forward to another department, so I'm waiting for a reaction of them first.

But really, this topic wasn't meant to clear my personal problems XD
It was meant as a suggestion regarding Costume Items in general.
I still appreciate your concerns though :3

I'd love a costume sakkat, its probably my favorite headgear in the game (costume wise) but im not paying $20 for it lol. blame it on mortal kombat.

The box should have contained individual boxes so you could trade them, or at the very least a recycler. I'd buy one if they were vending, when means someone would buy one to vend, which means gravity (or whoever) gets a $$$ sale one way or the other from me (indirectly).
