The old party system was always a thing of complaint, well before Renewal and well into Renewal, hell, I still think it might have a few issues here and there. Classic Server is a perfect opportunity to tweak these settings.

You're really a fool if you think that's what this is. Players need to get it through their skull; they don't want classic, they just want classes to end at Trans and to have Pre-Re mechanics.

Tone it down please, people have a right to disagree. If you make a topic, expect disagreement and criticism.
To another point, I do not remember there ever being complaints about the party system pre-renewal. I say be thankful it didn't go back even further when it was only 5 level difference.

It's clear to see why the player base get so agitated. There's no feedback from people who matter in a suggestions forum, and instead we have a volunteer using their casual posting to say "Well, it could be worse".
Saying "It's something we can look into" in some fancy red text would go a long way, you know.

You say that as if calling someone a fool is aggressive.

The tone of your post comes across as aggressive when you use the word fool in the context you do. Just let others have their opinions as well cause insulting people because they disagree with you just makes you look like you only want your opinion heard and no one elses. When I go through the forums on a daily basis I see posts such as yours and it makes me sick as you think you can tell people how to think. Stop being aggressive in the tone of your post and maybe the mods won't scold you about it. The mods honestly don't need to put everything in red text nor do they need to post "It's something we can look into" on every single bloody idea people give.

I do agree with this concept.Could we get it so parties function with a 15 level gap, and that the exp share is similar to what is currently in Renewal? Or is that too good?

Even if they don't, even if it was just to shut me up, I was still happier with the response I got from that ticket than I was with how Inubashiri tried to say "it could always be worse."

So, I sent a ticket in about this and the renewal thing. I didn't get a solid answer, but the person said they'd forward it to the appropriate people.

Sorry I will be more accommodating next time.

But a 2% increase in exp for 2 people and 3% boost in exp for 3 people up to 5% for 5 people would probably be a decent enough idea and promote larger group leveling. A lot of people dont party now because of situation like where a Wiz and Preist party and they do not need any other characters in their party and just by having them in party is a larger drain on the xp/hr calculations. But if you were to give them a small bonus in exp to make up for the fact they have anohter person in party then you would probably see more large parties around. Sorry for the long run on sentence! /flame /flame

The degree of character power difference between 10 levels pre-renewal is HUGE. A lvl 99 character leeching a level 84 is not really a good thing IMO.
