I went to the trunk of Yggdrasil, but there wasn't a single plant there.
And after walking through, I made my way to the Nifflheim dungeon on accident, but there was no portal to turn around and go back. There were stairs there hinting that there used to be a portal there, but there's most definitely not one there now.
Anyone know the meaning of this?

Not sure about the portal in nifflheim, but i've found a lot of plants in yggdrasil trunk

Ygg Tree was nerfed due to bots. You can't farm there anymore.

This is correct behavior.

The plants were removed at the same time that the Umbala Dungeon (which used to be between umbala and ygg trunk) was removed, because without the umbala dungeon, it was too easy to get there to farm plants.

You cannot escape the land of the dead by simply turning around and walking back. There has never been a portal to get back - i mean, have you ever heard of the land of the dead being easy to leave? In fact, there's a quest to escape niff by helping some witch - which is much less meaningful since there are bwings and spawn points, of course - but the point is, there's not supposed to be a portal to leave niff the way you came.
