9 points left over.
So, I am going to change into an RG in 3 levels and I wanted to see what you guys think of the build I had in mind. Everything not in bold is a prereq. for something. Except for the swordie stuff which is just standard. I want to use Reflect Damage for mobbing as I level. Banishing Point and Inspiration are there for bosses. I guess what I am asking is am I missing anything I will need? I have 9 points left over that I could put somewhere. Any questions about whether I will be grouping will be tough to answer. This will be my first 3rd job character. I have about half of the gear bought that I will need to Reflect Damage mob. I haven't even started working on the Banishing Point gear yet. I am thinking my stats will be something like this in the end.
Str: 50
Agi: 100
Vit: 100+
Int: 100
Dex: 100
Luc: ~10
I am sure there is some vital/extremely useful skill I am missing. Any information would be great.

Gramps turn ins will give pretty good exp if you can get a party together pretty quickly.

Here's what I'm using so far. Some people get Battle Chant level 1 for WoE because it has nice effects, but other than that, this is the most basic attack/support RG build. In TIs, you'll basically just Sacrifice most of the squishy members in your team and Overbrand every now and then.
As for stats.....
Your STR is too low and your INT is too high. I would try to get at least 90 on most stats to get most of the benefits on the Heroic backpack. Getting at least 110 VIT benefits RGs the most because of their high HP mod.

Really hard to find a good information source due to all the people complaining about the balance patch as you can tell.

You aren't kidding I spent an hour and a half just trying to find the damn patch notes and I still couldn't find them. Thanx for the link. I am assuming the part that ruins RD is:
"Maximum number of reflects: (25 + 5 * Skill Level)"
If I am reading that correctly, RD ends after 50 reflected attacks.. Sigh. On the test server it never ends unless you run out of SP. This is pretty disheartening as I literally began playing RG only because of how fun RD looked..

RG is still a really strong class post balance patch (overall the balance patch was a huge improvement, pity it took a year after renewal to get).
The RMS test server is not a useful tool for testing builds. There are many differences between renewal mechanics on official servers, and renewal mechanics as implemented on illegal private servers. RMS should NEVER be trusted as a resource for players on official servers. Their test server is inaccurate and their DB is inaccurate, and they advertise illegal private servers.

Old RD was grotesquely overpowered (also - not fun to play as, at least according to some RG friends, who said it got old really fast). Not only that, in certain circumstances, there were so many hits going on that it actually degraded server performance, particularly in combination with autocast gear.

Oh it most definitely seemed "grotesquely overpowered". I was wiping the floor with entire rooms of enemies. I mean if they nerfed the damage or how it allows procs or the sp cost or hell anything other than the number of hits.. 50 hits is nothing. Effectively makes it impossible to use for mobbing as auto casts lock you out of recasting it. I can see how some people wouldn't think it is fun, but I have been messing around with it for days testing gear (now a complete waste sadly) and it is a blast in my opinion. Or was I guess. It does not exist anymore apparently. I can understand that it might lag the server. If that was the reason it makes sense they basically raped it's functionality. It's just to bad as it was so much fun to play. I was looking forward to using it on iRO.
RG is probably still strong or whatever. But, I could careless about PVP balance honestly. I chose the class because of a fun skill mechanic. I just changed him into an RG and he will probably just get shelved unless I can find something else about the class interesting. Spamming Overbrand might be effective, but it isn't much fun.

You can still use reflect to kill MVPs (even ghost ones) but you might have to spam strawberries to keep up your SP. It might be fun but it is definitely pretty unbalanced. It was also pretty ineffective after 120-130 so the "fun" is short-lived.
I'm just glad you guys told me about it before I wasted anymore time, and more importantly money on it. Thank you for the info.
