now that they finally announced to test the renewal thats already updated on KRO, now i think its time to sell my ice pick. i dont do PVP at all.
So do u guys think Ice Pick is needed for the lvl up when the renewal comes?
i think(if i looked on KRO's update note correctly) dd sin is going down once the renewal comes.

So pretty much, I'd keep it, if you can make another one then by all means go for it but personally I would wait til you have made a second to sell one.

xD That isn't renewal when that happens that's in version 14.x. Once were in episode 14 is when the true changed to equips kick in if i'm correct.Godly in the renewal? r u guys really serious? as far as i know, i heard they pretty much made str useless. and equation for mob def is different(and ice pick will get patch like they do additional 1/3 more dmg to high defence mob or something). and i my self can read korean and pretty much i read was ice pick being dumb. and dd sin will become really useless. im only doing PVM. Or its not the same renewal? and since u could achieve 193 aspd in 3rd class, i dont think dd will last long. but i sold my ice pick anyway lol. btw im im Valk server

Therefore, ice pick will be one of the best all round daggers, I'm not sure how cards work in renewal but I'm pretty sure that it will be more useful than any carded daggers. Also normal Str ATK and bonuses should add into that damage, giving an amount of damage which should be pretty standard across the board. Pretty much makes CK, Weeder, Exorcizer etc completely redundant, except for the 10% demi reduction of CK but that gets nerfed too soooooo....KEEP IT

hmmm i think first 3rd class is appear between 13.2 and 13.3(which is quest expansion i think.) and renewal contains a lot of changes to the max level, and casting&atk equation. this change is critical to DD sin so that was what i was asking. btw in the renewal, atk from equip is weighted much more than atk points from atk(and bonus from stats got lower down too)

In renewal Ice Pick ignores all defense and adds equip attack equal to 1/2 of the opponents defense IIRC.

is this works for Sin too? cause whenever i go to Korean forum, they only say how DD suks in renewal.and dmg equation for ice pick will changed to same as Occult Impaction it will be a higher def additional dmg+atk from equip+stat. this patch was in june 2009 in KRO. so if its the same renewal as KRO had for 3rd class expansion, i think Ice Pick will be only for Rogue class.

However it adds 1 atk for each def. It is a very good weapon in renewal - an all around weapon, even if it doesn't sound so great from that.

It is only +/- w.lvl/20. I thought Nretep's formula was w.atk*variance in which case 1 +/- w.lvl/20 is correct. But he wrote it as w.atk+variance instead so the 1 isn't needed.
Edit:
New Ice Pick Formula thanks to the help of Milodon:
It bypasses s.def and e.def but increases your [e.atk by e.def/2]. So if a target has 200 e.def and you have 100+100 attack you will do 400 damage instead of 300.
