apply a 10, 20, 30 minute (whichever satisfies the balance) irremovable negative buff
-20% atk/matk
-10% walking speed
-15% healing item strength
-10% all element tolerance
any other status' or reductions?

here's why
1. Life insurance sales depends on people actually buying it.
2. goto 1

Maybe offering those buffs in exchange for using a 2x-3x Battle Manual...

I like this. It similarly eliminates Life Insurance, but instead of marginally decreasing revenue, it simply redirects the cash to BM's (and more, I'd imagine, since it would offer double the rewards).Maybe offering those buffs in exchange for using a 2x-3x Battle Manual...

Or when someone drops a mob on you? Is this your fault as well? "Sorry" won't give you exp back you know.
Posi-lag and dc? Must be my own fault too. Plus even if you clik to run away there's a chance you won't move, because moving in this game is also compromised. But in the end all of your arguments come down to:
1. this will make the game "easier"
2. developers need money
ok
1. It's hard enough already for 90% of the players, who don't hoard mvp cards, end-game gears
2. developers get their money for clothing dyes, upgrade ores, packs and boxes, vip ,costumes and headgears.
Negative buff for 20 minutes, irremovable isn't punishment enough for you? You do realize how reduction in element defense, walking speed and damage are gonna impede your progress (I proposed it in the spirit of not making things easier)
However, if people frown upon positive changes in-game which help the average player stay in the game, limit this to under 3rd job and after you become lv 100 , exp penalty goes back to effect. There isn't any content for players before 3rd job anyway..
edit 2: life insurance can be easily switched to prevent buff from happening. Same effect, same money

Instead of losing millions of exp after a mistake or a lag or dc (which is frustrating to say the least)
apply a 10, 20, 30 minute (whichever satisfies the balance) irremovable negative buff
-20% atk/matk
-10% walking speed
-15% healing item strength
-10% all element tolerance
any other status' or reductions?
I am against this idea as this would unfairly punish certain classes which are already week enough and making people buy life insurance to avoid this buff is absurd. Your trying to make it even harder for people to leve;. XP loss is a fact of playing a game and needs to stay even if the death isn't your fault XP is still easy to get.

Leveling is already easy as it is without endgame, god items, mvp carded items.
Plus this game doesn't need to be "easier".

Now your ideas are nice how ever they're sight ly misguided. The problems should fixed rather then changing the system altogether.
That's not to say that it doesn't offer a great way to enhance game play or create a new level of difficulty, I do think they do and in the longest shoot this can be applied to a old or new game mode.
Hell make the effects stack-able toss in fine heavy hitters and lets see how long it takes for a party to clear a super hard room...
That would be interesting....

ideas are nothing without support . Most of the ideas get shut down by players themselves, as they think of them as OP.
Let me clarify,
I support your idea of content to be added to the game.
However not in through the way that you've presented it; it rewards players for the known and unresolved game issues; it doesn't focus on fixing those problems to improve game play.
It would be like giving someone $2000 off on a car that has bad break pads, shoes and rods. You'll save $2000 but end up spending that money you saved on fixing the breaks so that driving you can safely drive the car. So you didn't save any money to begin with.
I believe that these problems should be fixed, and your idea should not be scrapped but expanded on.

(even turn-ins don't solve this problem for later levels)
