I'm looking for advice on gears for paladin, as stated above. Everything I knew is pre-renewal, so i'm a bit daunted and lost by the sheer amount of gears avaliable now. I'm a spear paladin, SAD type build for now. May or may not restat into a different build. No WoE for me, Mostly PvM / MvP.

Any advice would be great, thanks =)

Just for paladin leveling, a crescent scythe or elemental spear is usually pretty good if you intend on leveling with spear quicken. Cross shield, bradium shield, or strong shield are good if you intend to use rapid smite, and I believe equipping a heavy weapon like hunting spear helps as well (the descriptions are kind of confusing about this). If you are going to AOE with grand cross, any high ATK weapon is good and high MATK helps too. Elemental sword might be a decent weapon for this but I haven't personally tested it.
