Increase the duration of item pick up priority

Please make it so ppl can't pick up other's loots after 20-30 secs. The current timer is too low, ranged characters become prone to getting looted. They have to pick whether to kill the mob after them and get looted or pick up the loots and die from mob. It almost punishes them for not being able to tank mobs to get rare loots.

Wouldn't this increase the time looting monsters can get to your loot as well, kind of a double edged sword.

Looting monsters will pivk up loot no matter how old it is.

How would increasing the timer affect the ppl who own's the loot? They can still pick the item up before looting monsters do. Looting players on the other hand will have to compete with the monsters. Either way looting players don't deserve the items, at least this forces them to put an effort into killing the monsters rather than just picking straight from the ground (provided it was abandoned).

Unless you misunderstood and thought I was talking about the timer before items vanish?

I agree with increasing this timer, with maps being mobbier, I'm tired of smiths greeding my loot whilst I'm tanking a mob and trying to kill it. I'm not a free monster tank so you can steal my loot!

I agree. I've actually killed a monster only to be looted by another player right after (who spammed the click/pick up mouse key) while I was trying to walk and get the item. It's different from renewal loot protection, which is much better!

I agree with this as well. I know someone's MVP card was looted by some bystander after he got MVP /swt . Pretty unfortunate since the person who took it refused to give it to the rightful owner.

Wow, that really sux. I hope the card was very useful like phree or drake.

+1 ranged characters like hunters need to walk a lot if u kill at max range plus if monsters get in ur way to loot someone else just steal it and its really annoying X_X

The only issue I can think of with this would be greed maps -- mobby maps that people either ignore loot or Blacksmiths run around Greeding. It would up the amount of force-deposits onto the mobbers, since Greeding loot still under pick-up priority places it into the appropriate players' inventory.

Apart from that, what's the harm?

+1 but I'd say extend the duration the item stays on the ground before disappearing by the amount of time loot priority is increased.

How about items should remain a total of 3 Minutes on the ground before they disappear.
1 Minute and 30 Seconds of that the loot priority belongs to the player who has killed the monster.

I do certainly agree with your idea :D

An increase of duration loot priority is needed indeed.
Don't forget that bots steal your loot while your busy killing leftover mob. They don't even need Greed to pick up loot, they just pick it all up in an instant. They stole a a hydra card from me T_T.
