Alright so i'm sitting at like 60 dex 15 int and i'm thinking about pumping some AGI because my rudra bow hit's quite hard i'm finding O.o

How should stats be done up on a hunter? I know some int is required just so you can regain SP and continuously trap swell as use DS if need be...

I'm not really sure how I should do up my dex and agi.. I know at the end 99 dex and high agi with some int is the final product.. but how shall I increase it throughout leveling?

sorry to ask such a nub question but it's been so long since i'v played on classic D:

http://irowiki.org/wiki/Hunter

I'd swing for:

PvM (Balance)
  • STR: 1
  • AGI: 91+ (Base)
  • VIT: 1
  • INT: Any multiple of 6 depending on your skill usage (Be sure to take job bonus into account)
  • DEX: 80+ (Base)
  • LUK: 26 (Base, for 30 total, get when you are hunter, not when archer)

Reaching up to 310+ flee at level 80 with 180+ aspd, these hunters can make quick work of monsters with the addition of frequent falcon strikes while dodging damage. Quick Double Strafing is also available on demand. Due to the changes renewal brought, 99 dex isn't "as" important to get. With equips and the passive skills Vulture's Eye and Owl's Eye, they can still hit opponents quite well. It is recommended you get around 31-41 points of dex before starting to dump all your stat points in agi. Recommended equipment includes, Apple of Archer, Binoculars (or Robo eyes), Pencil, Pantie and Undershirt (Increases flee and agi), Two gloves or Zerom/Wormtail carded accessories, and a high atk bow (Rudra Bow/Hunter Bow). Recommended skills to use if any, are Double Strafe or Ankle Snare. Also, keep Improve Concentration up.

DEX/AGI (PowerHouse)
  • STR: 1
  • AGI: 99 (Base)
  • VIT: 1
  • INT: 9
  • DEX: 140-150 (99 Base)
  • LUK: 1

These Hunters are powerful damage dealers, capable of dealing some of the highest amounts of Damage per Second in the game under the right conditions. They have little to no defense, however, so they're best used when in a party, shooting from behind. Great for MvPing bosses without high DEF. Some modifications of this build will take into account some INT and LUK for Falcon strikes. Recommended for those who do not wish to lay traps, or for those seeking a jack-of-all-trades build.

I'd continue to get Dex until it's in the 90's then start getting Agility. Many shift towards getting AGI now, how ever remember that when you become a hunter, you'll have the Ankle Snare, so you'll have nothing much to worry about. If you want to DS alot more, then sac some of your AGI and Dex (you only get a Dex Bonus in multiples of 10) and get some INT or just ware gear that increases your SP pool by set numbers not percentages. Over all, using DS is nice, but it can be costly but if you still want to use DS alot, befriend a priest, marry them like I did in 3 instances =P. Once you've done that you'll be able to get SP and heals from the Priest and be able to DS dance all day.
