what's the chance of making gold in the job change quest does anyone know? i wanna know how much coal i should farm before hand

First off, that quest can be done even if you're not doing the jobchange quest. They just force you to do it for the jobchange quest.

The chance to get gold is very low. My understanding is that trying to get gold out of that quest is not a winning proposition.

nvm re-read quest lol i just need to do the thing doesnt have to acually make gold XD

Oh god, if you needed to turn coal into gold on that one, there would be mighty few alchemist classes around :-P

My suggestion is to just buy an illusion flower and you skip 80% of the job change quest.... much faster and easier.
No item collection, no stupid trivia questions, etc.
