It's not failproof, but it auto locks out skillspaming images.
Mind you, i still crash when i deactivate effects, but it's less.

If it's crashing randomly, and not every time someone talks, try setting blockspam to 0 in nospam.cfg.
The error still occur occasionally. This thing has been going for months now, why hasn't it be fixed yet?
I think Inu knows how to fix this, since he already did once. But by some unknown reason he cant do that anymore.

Actually it was ren who fixed it, I simply hosted it...its a problem kRO can't seem to contemplate when we give them instructions to fix it. Not a matter of can't, a matter of ridiculousness that they need to fix and stop relying on us to hex the damn thing everytime they change the damn client. Bottom line its gonna have to be fixed by them, they -_- it up they need to fix it.

Even though its the bug/error that comes from kRO, if the dev team of iRO can fix/temp fix it they should do it. The one affecting from this is iRO's customers, not kRO's.
what dev team? Also such a fix isn't easy manageable by the patcher

at last.
if anyone still has it they might be better off letting everyone know here.
even my boyfriend who always crashed upon logging in doesn't get the message no more, nor does he crash.
i hope it's fixed for everyone. but again, if not, let us all know asap ^^

Open Ro with the right-click open as.. option
Select the upper option which is your current user.
The patcher should skip patching, and you can press start right away.
Leave this client open and alt-tab back to your desktop.
Open Ro with a normal double-click.
Let this one patch, and hit start.
Now Ro should open normally, continue to the login screen so you won't confuse both clients.
Alt-Tab and close the "forced Ro"
This should make a savedata error come up, ignore it.
This way you have opened Ro while it would've given you the failed to init map data error.
So it might work ^^
It works 100% for me, i tested it for the past month to check for sure ^^
(in my case, it makes your desktop background go blue, don't fear, just open your desktop properties and click ok. It'll reappear normally.)
