Anyone made any progress with the Ragexe.exe and clragexe.exe not working? Still using that old client to play when I log in. Got a second install thats up to date and it's still broken, and we're going on over a month now with no fix.

Hi

I have a computer that is RO UN playable since the update which causes your screen to go small.

Whenever I click on the exe to open the client, the client would open, update but when I click start, the setup screen would appear. What ever I click (close, default, apply, the cross) the setup screen would pop up again. So I can't even get into the login page for RO.

This computer is windows vista. I've looked around and people say I have to run and instal the game as administrator? I've ran it as administrator which doesn't work but I can't run the setup file as administrator (it simply doesn't have that option). I've also reinstalled the game 2 times already.

Any ideas?

This is a fresh install, I've come back after quite a bit of inactivity. Completely uninstalled my old client, and deleted the old folder. Downloaded and installed from the client download link on website (August 2012), patched as Administrator, folder is located outside of Program Files, UAC is completely off.

Any help? I'd like to play again.

just downloaded the installer today. and have been getting the "APPCRASH" error on both clients, and when ran from administrator on classic the above error comes up. Not sure whats going on, but it seems this has been a persisting problem for the past couple months....

just like with Saff above me, i'm a returning player and I would like to play...

Skll and Amarantee - PM those error results to Inubashiri - I think you need the old client files, she'll be able to tell for certain, and hook you up if you do.

This is very frustrating, especially returning to a server I once left. I think I remember why I left this behind 6 years ago because of the very frustrating things I had to deal with especially If I was paying. >.<

I'm trying to return this game. Don't give me a reason to leave again please.

not sure if anyone tried but my 2 computers both has nvidia graphics and my laptop has a amd radeon card. Could it be its an issue with the video card??? because i uninstall and did every tactic to try and no luck. Then I try on my sisters laptop who is also windows 7 like me but she had a ATI video card. Installed on her computer, patched and everythings working fine. So could it possible be new patch not compatible with their video cards??? all my buddies that have a ati video cards dont seem to have problems. just an idea.

ive tried disabling the firewall and it doesnt help. Nothing happens when i press start on the normal ro. I can open classic but when i press start the error comes up. Sakray allows me to open up and login. Any help?

Guys, I had all the same issues and reinstalled like 4 times, even went as far as adding winxp with dual boot and stuff, and nothing worked out. I have win 7 home 64 bit, and a computer with win7 32 bit home. Then I decided copy the RO folder from a friends computer as a last resort, not sure if thats ok or not, but all the problems were solved and I didn't have to use old clients or anything anymore and I can see the lucky boxes now, lol!. Anyway give it a shot, good luck.

I have just updated my client and an error showed up during the download, but it continued regularly. And after it finished updating I clicked to play but the game never opened! If I open the client again, it it always updated already but the game still doesn't open..

Hi,
i have hade the same problems with the new client. Got runtime errors all the time and RO was unplayable.
The solution is very simple. "Use the old client"!!! For me it works fine.
In this threads a few sides before you can find the .exe and setup file for the old client. Download it and replace the files in your RO folder.

i think i have tried it all and i still get fail to connect to patch server, i just got a new computer and i went to re download the game and now i cant even get the client to work.

after a day of uninstalling and re installing and changing things and reading all the ideas on how to fix it the problem was norton security i unistalled that and re installed it and POOF! everything worked!

I had that happen to me earlier today. I used March's client from this year and updated it to the current version. Had to manually input some patch files, but it works now.

Only problem I have is an error when I'm trying to open the setup.exe program. It looks like this:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)."
Everything else works. So far.

Edit: Forgot the 5th "0" in the error code. It's updated.

Ok, after an update to the most current version my Setup start-up error is gone. It's just that my client can no longer connect to the game server for some reason. I have this problem when I updated March 2012's client to the current version and when I used the actual current (Version 14.1.3, October 2012) client from the Ragnarok main website. It just pretends that the servers are offline for me.

Before anyone asks, I cannot run as admin on my Windows XP computer since it's password is different from my password to login, and avast! antivirus already has the .exe files from the RO folder in it's Trusted Processes.

Still waiting on a response for the 0xc0000142 error in case anyone else is stuck there like I was.

i downloaded iro for my

acer aspire one

it has 2gb ddr 2 ram

running windows 7 starter

and everytime i try to start up the installer it says

"This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer."
