I'm trying to find patch notes for last night, but I'm a bit lost.

You take the sealed boxes you have bought or found to the Key Master NPC found in the Classic Eden Group and she will use up a gold or silver key to open it. If you use a silver key you get 3 items, a gold key gives you 5.

If you've turned in a Magic Stone on a character you can get a special accessory from the Key Master in Eden. With this accessory equipped, any monster can drop Sealed Box. The drop chance is estimated at 0.2%.

These boxes can either be forced open by using them, usually giving a useless item, but sometimes a Silver Key.
However, you can talk to the Key Master to open the box using a Silver or Gold Key. Silver will grant you a box that contains 2 items, Gold yields 5 items.
Silver and Gold keys can be purchased at the Event Sales NPC in Eden.

The loot contained in this boxes varies greatly. The following loot has been confirmed so far:


- Elven Ears
- OCA, OBB, OPB
- Well-chewed Pencil (account bound)
- Fish in Mouth (account bound)
- Pirate Dagger (account bound)
- Rideword Hat (account bound)
- HE Bubblegum
- HE Manual
- Assumptio party scroll
- Bless party scroll
- Agi party scroll

- Random etc items, including Four Leaf Clover.

Hope this helps, it's what I've been able to find out so far.

I don't know if I'm just lucky, but if not those Boxes will pretty much completely-_- up the economy. I opened 3 boxes and got 3 Elven ears out of them and they are all tradeable. Furthermore I would like to know if the chance of getting a sealed box is the same everywhere, or if GM's were actually smart enough to implement a system which grants higher drops on more difficult (higher level) enemies thus preventing botting madness and/or ridiculous Ant Egg camping.

So Question from me:

When do you realize that you up with something?

It's when the people that actually profit the most from it (me) are actually complaining about it. With every day passing, this server goes further down the toilet

The idea was originally pitched in the Classic Event forum, so I surmise it's only for Classic.

You can't get the accessory without a magic stone and most items from the box aren't tradeable (most of the more valuable ones anyway)

...bot farms will be the main suppliers at a guess since y'know 24/7 farming.

they should've just implemented a frikkin lucky box... i have no luck with drops at all so this is just an annoyance to hunt them for potentially -_-ty "four leaf clover"

Unfortunately magic stones didn't seem to deter many bots... They can be bought pretty cheap with zeny. Stuff not being tradable will help, I suppose.

... Really? This seems more incentive to KS other people in high spawn areas.

And people mentioning bots being able to bypass loot priority makes this even more of a weird decision by warpportal.

I think people are misoverestimating the droprate of boxes. In testing on the live servers on mass spawns of low level monsters, they still drop pretty infrequently

true, I went with my bow rogue, using gum killing fabres, lunatics and porings I only got 5 boxes during that amount of time and i teleported around thus killing much faster than farming ant eggs in anthell for example, so yeah... the thing is get boxes and buy gold keys or else you are screwed lol
