Is it me or everyone is feeling it...

I'm an Ice/Poison Mage and some of my gears add +Ice/Poison duration.

However, the effects did not work at all for me as my slow is still the same without the +ice duration and my dot is still ticking as it should instead of being longer...

Any advice?

The + effects work correct but the desciption is unclear. It applies for slow/poison effects from elemental weapons only. Also poison spells are unable to trigger the poison dot from a poison elemental weapon, the additional damage works for the innital damage but not for the dot.

I am referring to the duration effect.

+2.5 secs to ice effect = target being slowed for 2.5 more secs?

+1.5 secs to poison effects = dots lasting 1.5 secs more?

So was I, so if you slow somone with an ice elemental weapon ( the slow from the weapon and not a skill ) and you have +2.5 sec ice duration on your gear they will be slowed for the time stated on the weapon +2.5 sec.

That really sux for Mages... Since we don't really attack with weapons, there's no point to have this gear.

What he meant is the SKILL from the weapon. You do not need to attack with the weapon. Casting a spell procs the skill also.
