Would be nice if there were a Gift Wrapper NPC in Eden. Basically their purpose would be to put headgears and other items that are not tradeable (Or just headgears) into a box, so we can sell and trade them whenever we want. It's a good idea if you have excess items from the sealed box event and need a way to get rid of them as well as getting some extra zeny in return. Another reason is that some players buy KP for a certain headgear to help their character level for their 2nd job change, but those items may become completely useless when they decide to choose a 2nd job that may not find that headgear useful, or find one that's better and end up stuck with something they don't want anymore. Also, if bots farming those boxes and trying to sell the items inside them becomes a problem, maybe a price to wrap the items (Like 100-200KP)

If anyone else has any suggestions or ideas to make this possible, it would be much appreciated.

Then what's the point of a box in the first place if you could just rebox it? Would be much simpler to just make the headgears themselves tradable.

Some people have already opened the item boxes containing the gear. They might not be able to edit items that players already own (Or maybe they can, just guessing).

I'd have to agree with zoso, this will ruin the purpose of the boxes. The market will be flooded by the headgears and gravity will generate less sales for high kp headgears (ie. hunting cap, ramen), since it'll be cheaper to box them and resell.

Off topic: Your title is misleading; I thought your suggesting a gift warp npc for items you want to give as presents. I would love to wrap up some jellopies and poopoo hats and give them to friends :heh: .

I figured gravity wouldn't think about something like this unless there was a way to make more money. Maybe if there were some kind of KP fee per item, like 200KP or half the cost of the item in the Kafra store. People who use bots to farm for sealed boxes wouldn't be making much money off this if they had to pay in order to trade the items, but players would still be able to get rid of the untradeable stuff that just sits in their storage and maybe even make a little money off it to go towards the stuff they need.

Also, that would nice if you could gift wrap items and gear for others to open, they should do something like that during the holidays. :rice:
