Like I said.

Whites/blues is all you need.

Adding more items gives you guys a greater chance of failure to beable to sneak the items away/have value when you npc them.

Gems/bombs/acidbottles/etc items are all luxuries, which guilds can get on their own steam.

:)

It does make things much more complicated for us though, as we need to create entirely new items that will only be used just for this test phase of WoE and be deleted from the servers.

Removing gem requirements would affect PVE dynamics as well, we want to limit the effects of the test WoEs on the rest of the server.

We have looked before at the idea of castles giving prizes to guilds that held the castle periodically though WoE, but it's not currently possible. Tracking and distributing prizes by emp break would be interesting, but I think that's also a little past what we're able to do right now.

Uh How about and accessory that gives the effect of a mistress card that can only be obtained at the start of the WoE and expires at the end of WoE?

Tough to get excited about WoE when I can't even log in because the bloody server has gone tits up again.

Add a *fix the server first* option to the poll please.

This isn't going to end well (in regards to how much the GM team will have the potential for error) if all of you push for more then Whites/Blues :).

If I and other community members have the ability to track emp breaks, why can't you guys? I used to run a WoE stats page that tracked all breaks and timestamped them. Wanna know how?

I had a script that parsed my savechat folder and I would hit alt+1 ( /savechat) eachtime I saw an emp break.

How about, whoever ends with the castle like normal? Or whoever holds it for the longest period of time total.

Why does there even have to be a price?
Can't it just be what it is, a regular stress test with the satisfaction of participating in it?

The fun and excitement during the test should be reward enough for all of us.

I can understand the concerns about effecting PvE use of the skills, but if you say, removed the gem requirement from just dispel and magnetic earth for the time frame I think that would be better than people spending millions on gems for a test siege. Neither of those skills sees any real use outside of WoE in the current game environment.

I'd also recommend a free repair NPC, because especially if there are no free glistening coats available, there will be a very large number of broken gears going around, which would quickly drive people away from the testing if there was no repairs available at the save points.

Edit@Morlord: I think that the iRO community has shown time and again that a large number of the players are unwilling to cooperate under the circumstances you described. Motivating a large group of players to gear up characters, ready extra supplies, show up on time and be organized is extremely difficult without some kind of incentive, and if the goal is an actual stress test, there needs to be something to help motivate the extra people.

Im notsaying they should have more than one castle, I'm just pointing out if I can do something like track that crap, why can't the GMs?

It's a stress test to simulate what would happen when a large population is on one map server at a time. It's not supposed to be a normal WoE. If it crashes, that's a good thing. It lets the GM's gather information on what can be done to fix what's wrong. From there they can probably do a few more stress tests to see if their solution to a potential problem is working. Namely you guys can call for a new server for Classic if it really is that crappy.

Couldn't you take down servers, remove gem requirement for woe, take down servers, require gems? Same goes for alchemist supplies (acids/grenades/plants/marine spheres).

I've said it once and I'll say it again:

The more you get the GMs to change for this Stress WoE the more chance they have of potentially (unintentionally) putting something in that should not be. Such as being able to sell the WoE Potions for Zeny, or allowing people to stock pile hundreds of thousands of WoE supplies that they should not have been able to stockpile.

Changing the catalyst for skills is of course an alternative, but I still wouldn't want them to touch anything.

You have the basics (Whites/Blues), if you want anything extra then supply it yourself. If you don't want to supply don't show up, you don't have to try.

Are you sure the server don't crash with only one castle?
The most important poll is the facebook poll that's right?
What the gift you give for the best guild in this woe?

Well if it crashes, then the test has served its purpose.

But like I said on irowiki, I think woe on my wizard will look something like this:
