... well, there goes 1% job due to a 10 second lag spike on a dozen different turtles

It makes me feel slightly better knowing there are others out there who are suffering extreme lag as I am. I have not had lag this bad in a very very long time. It is unplayable. Literally. It would be assanine for me to attempt to play through the lag which is so bad, that by the time a spike is over, my group is half way across the map and I have turtles jumping up my you know what. I did just play for approx. 30 min and somehow managed to not die, but finally just said screw this because I did not buy the turtle hat for a character to in fact lose experience using it. Our internet connection is perfect in all other ways. Playing other online games, surfing, etc are all working excellently. Only playing iRO causes me the grief. I wont even bother posting a tracert. I'm sure they may be already aware of where the problem is. Please for the love of god, if there is something that can be done, please oh please, scream at whomever needs to be screamed at to fix it. The lag has only been this horrible for 2 days now. I'm used to a little lag at busy times or at busy maps, but this is something else entirely! - I do thank whomever may take the time to read this at Grav HQ! <I'm heading over to the tech support section to post this also>

Yeah it was confusing the hell out of me when it first began. I thought it was my laptop's wireless connection, then the router. Finally a few friends told me it was the server. It's weird because I was farming at hodes and that was horrible. Then when I switch to my priest in Pront, it wasn't too bad. Really weird, but please, help us out here. I know you guys do a lot but fundamentals man.

I haven't really had a problem this whole event. Sure I have had the odd lag spike, but nothing out of the usual for me.
Try playing half the world away, pro stuff... lol

I used to play iRO on dial up from Melbourne back in 2004, wasn't anywhere near as bad as it is now :o

I've had a couple minor lag spikes, but nothing that put me into any inconvenience. Strange how these kinds of things only affect some users and not all. Maybe there's an incompatibility server side that was inadvertently introduced with the event.

So, when you guys followed the instructions in the FAQ to take a tracert, what did it show?

Since most users are NOT experiencing this lag, yet SOME are, it stands to reason that it's an ISP issue. There have been issues with traffic to/from RO servers getting routed through -_-ty servers - if the tracert is bad, send it to the GMs via warpportal. They mentioned recently that they'd gotten encouraging responses from their ISP re: the problems with routing through AS6453.

Complaints of lag without tracerts, time of happening, map/server you were on doesn't let us even start to investigate the issue. We aren't ignoring it, but it isn't specific enough for us to help, its like telling someone "i'm unhappy", there isn't much data exchange there other than there is a problem.

Well, I'm happy to say that the horrible lag I experienced is gone - Hoorah!. It was just a 2 day anomaly, but thought it might be best to report it sooner, rather than later. You never know, there may be times, that they aren't aware of the situation when it becomes that bad. I usually never gripe about the lag. It's just something that you get used to and expect, but when it got as bad as it did, I was actually shocked and thought I'd best speak up.

Okie Dokie, your the boss! Only because you gave the go-ahead to post tracerts, I'll be sure to do so if and when I experience the lag as bad as it was a few days ago! Thanks ; )

I do think there was a problem somewhere as there were certainly enough reports, I'm glad it is gone, but I would feel better knowing what it was that caused the change so we can do all possible to keep it from happening again. Nothing was really changed on our end to start or stop it because we couldn't get data to narrow the search parameters before the reports came in that it was "better".

Okay I'm not going to make this into a conspiracy but, how come when I get lagged and can't move or cast skills but I can sit down? This is the first time I have experienced this kind of lag, am I the only person experiencing the lag problem this way or is any one else experiencing this as well?
