Yay! First post!
I just turned my char to pally yesterday and trying to plan my future RG. I plan to make tank build RG with prestige, vanguard force and some offensive skill (OB, BP). The question is I'm bit confused whether to lvl RD or SR. From what I get from searching the forums (correct me if I'm wrong), SR gives 100% chance to reflect 40% dmg at max lvl 10, and also transferrable via sacrifice. RD on the other hand, gives 80% chance to reflect 40% dmg to epic7x7AoE. But with huge sp cost, hit cap at 50 hits and not transferrable via sacrifice at max lvl 5.
I plan to lvl SR to max, as I thought that it is more suitable with my tank build (does not hv hit caps and can be combined with sacrifice). But my friend (not sure if trolling or not) told me it was waste of skill points and advised me to max RD and plung remaining skill points to SQ for better OB dmg. What do you guys think about it? should I lvl SR or RD? or should I ragequit playing pally and start grind my time to make RK (dragon breath FTW)? Help a newb here

Full reflect builds are not as awesome as they were on pre-balance patch.
The build is still viable, though Reflect Damage is a heavy SP sink right now.
Just depends of which kind of reflect you want to do to kill. There are two types, in which you only kill by the reflects, or the other one you implement autocast items on the build and those autocasts are the source of the damage.
If you prioritize Shield Reflect, you can go full spear build, to kill with Overbrand, as long as you only use one-handed spears. One of the best ones is Imperial.

Reflect Damage is still good as self defense on woe and it is not dispellable and can be maxed at 5 and aoe, though its has proc rate to reflect and limited hits, id suggest shield reflect only get it as skill pre-req.

On a PVP perspective, it's all about what you want to achieve, if you want to reflect your enemies damages to their allies by rushing in a clash, then I'd suggest you go for Reflect Damage, but If your up against Sura's, which most likely would not use a lvl 10 Hell Gate due to your Defending Aura, they'd be going for level 4 instead, therefore making it melee, I suggest you switch to reflect shield. Hope this helps. >
