if u are ab, glor arc wand, period.
If you are and Arc Bishop, either use Vellum Bible or Glorious Cure Wand.
Side Note: Why are we talking about Arc Bishop in a thread dedicated to the Mage Class?
if u are beater warlock, glor sod, oso period.
If you are a Warlock seeking the highest damage possible, then use Glorious Destruction Staff.
if u are super speed warlock, glo arc wand, triple period there.
If you are a Warlock concerned with your cast time rather then your damage, then use Vellum Arc Wand.
so, all glorious item, period. u will see a bit difference btw vellum, but glorious all the way.
You might want to learn what Weapon best suits your abilities and how you wish to use the Weapon when you do battle with other players.
i hate vellum item tho :no1:
This is probably why you do not understand the true value that Vellum has to offer and as such you are missing out on the full benefits of the Weapons in this game.

+12 Mental Destroyer if you are just a precaster/supporter. SG with this weapon can reduce someone's SP to 0 in seconds if they don't freeze.

Both...

It depends mostly on your MATK, KvM SoD has a unique feature that makes you stand out more than Vellum Arc Wand... but Vellum has something good on his own as well...

As for me, I use both Staffs depending on the situation... and it goes quite well... but as I said before, it depends on the upgrade level of the weapon and the MATK you have.

If I am not wrong the item description says clearly that the SP burn of mental destroyer works only with normal No Ctrl attacks and not with Skills that you are referring to Storm Gust. Correct me if I am wrong.

Although lord of vermillion does multi hits, I think it only triggers Mental Destroyer's effect once.

it should trigger it 4 times over the full duration. LoV deals 4 waves of 10 sub hits.

Tested it in PvP. Friend said he only lost 5% something of his SP with level 10 LoV.

Maybe kRO caught on this since LoV was probably the first thing players had in mind with this staff so they nerfed it?

SG > LoV anytime lol... I thou that was well known since pre-renewal... unless well...

Anyway, Both staffs are kinda the same, end damage will depend mostly on upgrade level and over upgrade bonus... then again, KvM staff follow a formula of it's own.

In my case, I use all 3 staffs depending on the situation... for each of my warlocks (3 +12's and 1 +13 Vellum on my accounts around server).

Comet is only counted as a singular hit.
Tetra Vortex is counted as 4 separate hits.

Yes.

Since several people were asking me about these 3 staffs and the different scenarios they can be used, I've decided to enable "items on/off" on my chat log and make WoE videos with it for teaching purposes.

You can see the possible scenarios when I switch to: attack mode -> defend mode -> precast mode -> casting mode

I think that might help you guys understand the different kind of situations were each staff can be used on.

For releasing SG: +12 mental destroyer
For Casting: +12 Vellum
For releasing damage skills (if you have it at +12 or higher): Glorious. If you don't, get +12 vellum first
For divesting with Earth Strain: Combat knife + shield.
Or at least that's the way i use them.

Yup casters are all about being able to switch gears from Def to attack I personally switched to full time vellum got a little much to switch 3wep shields and Armor much better to just use vellum as main 2 handed wep

The differences are pretty small. However, if you want to maximize your release damage, go with the glorious. If you are fine with having slightly less damage, then just stick with Vellum. But yeah generally it goes:

Release: Glorious wins (Comet, tetra, etc)
Casting: Vellum wins (DPS/speed)
SG: Mental Destroyer

I know some people say Napalm Vulcan is counted as a singular hit...but you never know what bug/intention there might be till you test it. So, has anyone tested napalm vulcan lv5 with mental destroyer? Does it proc once or 5 times?

Not worth it... it's almost the same as people on Ygg using LoV with Mental Destroyer.
