Been trying to get RO to work on a new computer for the better part of two weeks. I dont know what to do Ive followed guides on the site and I have submitted tickets. I'm posting everything i've done up to this point.

error code when trying to start classic client. New system never had RO on it before. Uninstalled and reinstalled using firefox and IE. Ran everything as admin still no luck. Running Windows 7 ultimate as OS the renewal clients wont even go past the patch screen. Error messages are from classic client. Any assistance is appreciated.

If you are using Windows Vista or 7, try the following.
-Log on to the Windows as an administrator.
-Select the option 'Run as administrator' when starting the client.
You may also running the client in compatibility mode:
-Right-click the client icon and select 'Properties'.
-Select the 'Compatibility' tab
-Check the box next to 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:'
-Select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)' from the drop down box.
-Click 'OK'
If problem persists or you are using Windows XP, please try the following.
-Update the graphics and chipset drivers
-Uninstall the game
-Delete the game folder
-Update antivirus program and run a full scan
-Delete any infected files
-Download updated client from our website (using IE6 or higher, do not use Firefox or any download accelerator)
-Reinstall the game

moved game outside of program folder into its own folder, ran in windows xp service pack 2 and 3 modes. Updated all graphics, made sure directX was up to date. Uninstalled and reinstalled about 10 times.

Sometimes the error message is slightly different. I also tried file sharing with one of my guildmates to get their functional client, no dice uninstalled it all again.
