Honestly, it was not too long ago that I've entered a state in the game where I can comfortably play without having to worry too much about zulie. And this is after playing for a few years. And I actually still farm and loot just about everything. When leveling a new character, I find myself making over 600m in zulies just from looting chems/dirties/and materials and then vending it or selling to shops in addition to using bourg to sell back useless things that no one buys. I think it's quite easy to make money in this game if you're persistent.

If I'm not mistaken, it's not just about making zulies here. It's about the principle of the matter; the economy is not cut out for low levels. It's just unbalanced that's all. Go ahead, try vending some low level items as a low level crafter and see how far that will get you.

Regardless of what I say - browse around Junon and Zant and what do you see? Low level shops full of items that do not sell for days in a row. Poor guys, I feel sorry for them. I was there once.

On a slightly different note, they can easily loot everything they have and sell it to a shop or NPC. This game requires a level of determination to get where you want to be. I think some of these shops just need a little empathy that's all ;)

I have my Shop neer the foodz as well, I wonder who is that FOODZ man. hehehe he has been there for ages. I am also wondering what happened to the Chem Market. Prices of Chems went down. before I can sell CHems at 40k now I am lucky if I can make 15k per bottle.

So what happened More people sudenlly decided to farm for more chems? I saw a shopt that is full of chems. I mean the whole sell Box is full of it.

Well I started playing Rose again around 2 months ago. Last I played Rose it was iROSE back in what ? 2004 ? So I had to start from scratch and no I didnt find zulie to be an issue at all. Right, first the prices chocked me, but then I saw what ppl bought chems and mats for. Then I started farming and old school like I am, I started doing union quests.... now valor quests. Truth been told, after all I have sold less than 100 chems so far. My arti crafts some masks, some pots and some carts. I dont sell much, but some sells. Then theres buying and reselling stuff, old rose style, it still works.

Buttomline, it is possible to make zulie even as a new player, it just takes time.
The biggest difference is that players today is OBSESSED with aoe parties to get to 230 within a week or 2. Doing that and you got a broke lvl 200+ running around begging zulie of everyone. Yes I had lvl 200+ begging at me several times since I got my first t7 at lvl 80+ and thats just pathetic... I have yet to see a single aoe party picking up loot, thats a lot of zulie wasted. Sadly its the same players I see an hour after begging for cash.

If ppl took thier time to actually play the game, they wouldnt be so damn broke. This game isnt meant to be completed in a week, no mmo are. Yes Im not 230 yet even after 2 months, Im only 180 but Im in no hurry and Im not broke.

You got it right I remember some lvl 230 Cleric begging me to give her my Back Seat she is even a member of Grade7 Clan she even wears some nice costume and has the Epic Salvation thing and she could not afford a back Seat.

Oh about those level 230 Players that are broke they are bugging people who are farming chems in DOD. right now asking for like 200 Chems or else they will PK. I got hit already a few times.

I had no problem selling low level items last night, I disconnected when I shut my laptop, or soon after, but I had sold over 1/2 of my stuff. I made it affordable instead of just going for max price for stuff I'll never use and materials I had stocked up in storage for ages.

Amen to that Zurn. I find it refreshing when I make a new char (I get bored and curious...) and see decent low-lvl blues for sale at prices that aren't jacked up. Someone selling a Lv30 blue stat chest at 400k z for example. It's not gonna sell! XD

^^ this. The economy is player driven. It has issues (Rose's economy always has) but the problem is primarily players. Now don't get me wrong, it's human nature to want to get the most you can for something but I have seen people selling relatively low level wings and masks for millions. By comparison I've seen the odd player selling very nice stat whisker masks for 100k which in my mind is very reasonable, this person also sells out pretty regularly too.

The developers could do a few things to help the lower levels and new players, for the record making spider wings is essentially useless since you don't get spider webs until Xita...

Make some of the lower level materials actually worth something. I remember way back in the day thick leaves and insect shells were quite desirable, now they're not even used any more. The things a low level can get that have value drop all the way up, ie low essence and powders so the market gets diluted and the value drops. Scaling the NPC costs makes it even worse for the new players not better.

Then of course you have the players I like to call sleezeballs. The ones that set up in Zant and AP buying things for what seems like a ton to a new player. Heck when you're first looking at shops with prices like 460 for a bow 6,000 zuly for a single low essence seems like a lot doesn't it? You have no idea that person is going to scroll to JP and sell that very same thing for 3x what he just paid you for it do you? Rose (and I assume any other game with a player based economy) has always eaten it's new players and the older players need to take responsibility for that.

If enough players start changing their ways things get better. If enough Zurns make items low level players can use and can actually afford then those players that make things and try to charge exorbitant prices for them get driven to lower their prices. They aren't given a choice.

So from the developers we need to see low level items/materials that have a value and can't be farmed at level 200+ That is as simple as making a new item or two that is craftable and requires low level mats and removing those mats from high level mobs/maps entirely.

From the players we need to see a change of attitude and this just isn't economy based. Take your clan and go to AP and help the new players. Buff them, answer their questions, give them directions and pointers. If everyone did that for one hour a week the community would grow. You billionaires, go to AP and buy low essence and pink powder for what it's actually worth in the market, push the sleeze out of business. Set up right beside them and pay more. You're going to profit anyway so what do you lose?

Rose is about community, at least it always has been for me. It's about meeting people and having fun, if I just wanted to play a game there are others I could pick that are offline with better graphics and gameplay to be honest. We need to group together and make it a place new players feel welcome and not taken advantage of.
