Help me with the hard mdef formula please! I tested on lvl 86 sage on IRO:Yggdrasil server

Weapon=Unarmed , MAtk=206+0 , INT=99+14

Damage Test:

lvl 1 Cold bolt on Geographer=119

lvl 1 cold bolt on Grand Peco= 243(175% damage)

lvl 1 cold bolt on Goat= 240(200% damage)

lvl 1 cold bolt on Ant Egg= 140

I looked everywhere and I could not find a perfect formula for these results.

Here's the formula for regular DEF:

(Damage after hard DEF) = (Damage before hard DEF)*(600/(600+def))

So I'd guess the MDEF formula is:

(Damage after hard MDEF) = (Damage before hard MDEF)*(100/(100+mdef))


See if that works. Don't have time to calc it myself right now.

I thought it was something other than 100. 100-something I thought.

I tried but its not accurate I also tried subtracting soft mdef before the hard mdef formula next I tried subtracting after hard mdef formula but the result is wrong for both. Do monsters have soft mdef? I considered hard mdef=soft mdef for monsters otherwise the final damage was way off.Are the stats(mdef) listed on irowiki database for monsters same as on iro server?

ok I found the soft mdef of those monsters but I m not sure what formula they use to get that soft mdef,I will list it below:


Ant Egg

S.mdef=8

H.mdef=45

Geographer

soft mdef=32

Hard mdef=42

Goat

Soft mdef=30

Hard mdef=43

Grand Peco

soft mdef=24

Hard mdef=30

Formula: statusMDEF = [Int + Vit/5 + Dex/5 + BLv/4] = soft mdef
