Basically a derivation of the first class with some twists.

Swordsman > Magic Knight
Pretty self explanatory. Usage of offensive magic spells in combination with sword arts. Has the Force Of Will skill, which restores SP by autoattacking and the Meteor Crater, a drop attack that deals MAtk to all units within the area as well as PAtk to the unit targeted. Skills are separated into four elements; Earth, Ice, Fire, Wind. No Ghost element for Magic Knight however. (Take Mage of you want it.)

Thief > Treasure Hunter
Focusing more towards item earnings, Treasure Seekers provide a passive global party buff that increases drop rates of all items below 25%, up to 25% drop rate. The increase is based on the base drop rates so it isn't over-abused to get very low drop rate items. Additionally, Treasure Hunter gets some nifty support skills such as Disarm Trap and Stealth Sight to assist the team on top of offensive capabilities such as Shock Bomb to stun the opponents.

Mage > Summoner
Mages that specialise in temporary creations of elemental beings. Summons last a short amount of time (60~300s) and are a source of both offense and defense capabilities. Summoning Circle is the basis of all summonings, which requires items to create the summon. Summons that are called without using items require the Advanced Summoning skill, and they last shorter than the duration of normal summons (30~150s) and a hefty SP upkeep. All 5 elements are summonable, each with their own higher tier summons and special abilities. Summoned beings act with their own AI codes but can be changed (just like the Homunculus AI).

Acolyte > Defiler
Acolytes that are efficient in debuff spells and negating external healing powers. Has their special Buff Destroyer that removes all buffs applied on the target and prevents buffs from being applied onto the target for a very short duration (3s). Additionally, Defiled Grounds prevents all external healing sources onto enemies within the area.

Archer > Striker
Archers that utilise their long range capabilities to cause tremendous debuffs. Arrow To The Knee slows target enemy, while Cranium Cracker stuns them. Strikers also focuses on crossbows instead of bows, having Speedy Bolt Loading that provides a bonus to ASPD and after-cast delay reduction.

Mechant > Trade Expert
Merchants whose capability is to improve NPC trading. Has Sweet Deal which increases the base sell price of items by a flat amount (stacks with Overcharge) and Secret Shop which opens up hidden items that are normally not sold to others. Additionally, they have the Cashtravaganza skill, causing all enemies killed to provide gold based on their level. Lastly, they also gain a unique ability called Money Means Happiness, which increases regen rates of HP and SP based on the amount of zeny there is.

Many people have liquidated their gears, items, or even zenies to move to classic. Many are willing to pay as much as 200M for 1K. People who were not able to purchase expensive gears before can now do so due to the sudden influx of zenies.
