Hi so I made this Vanilmirth like maybe, last year november 2011?

Since then, I haven't done any levelling until last week, and it is now level 83 with the following stats:

Atk 110
Matk 314
Hit 327
Crit 35
Def 341
Mdef 232
Flee 195
Aspd 168

Hp: 7436
Sp: 290

The reason I am asking this, because of I have stumbled upon another thread, and I am just concern, whether to re-make my vanil or not :(

which type of homun S are right for me?

vanil 99 loyal

atk 127
Matk 384
Hit 363
Crit 41
Def 377
Mdef 274
Flee 227
Aspd 174

HP 9,051
SP 354

hi! can someone advice me what's the right homun S for me? Im newbie in homunculus thing...please help. :wah:

Have you evolved your homun to second form (either giant bug or the floppy jelly thing)? You need to do that first (does not need to be loyaled again)

If you already have, you should remake, because those HP/SP totals indicate it was made before Renewal, and it's got about half the SP it should and a few thousand HP less (pre-renewal, you gained almost no HP/SP for evolve, now you gain 2-3k HP and it adds like 300 sp, give or take - which is kind of a big deal)

However - the stats of the homun do not effect your choice of homun S type. What effects it is what you want to do with your homun S - Vanilmirth, regardless of your stats luck, is an excellent base for all types of homun S.

So what are your interests in the game? What do you want to do long term? WoE? PVP? MVP? How do you prefer to level homuns? AFK, or actively?

:thx: :thx: :thx:

As long as it's still in it's first form (so no stone of sage used yet) then it's fine the way it is, as it'll gain a bunch of stuff when you loyal and evolve it.

However, if it's already evolved then you may need to remake it.

Ah yea, that was my concern lol, so any reason why one needs to remake it, if the stat is already like this when in evolve form?o.o Is it a bug or something?

oh and when you evolve it, does it gain a tremendous amount of stats?XDD

From what I understand, there was a patch which changed the stat increases from evolution to be much better than before, so yes, when it evolves it will get a massive boost to SP, HP and such. When I evolved my Vanilmirth a few weeks ago, it gained 3k HP, 600 SP (giving a total of 11.5k HP and 1k SP when it was level 99) and a fair boost to all other stats.

Before, evolution didn't give nearly as much bonus stuff, which is why it's best to remake if it's already evolved, because otherwise it will have a huge disadvantage during it's Homunculus S days.

If that's evolved, remake it, you're short 300 sp and 2-3k hp.

If that's not evolved it's fine.

How are mine?
Level 70
5678 HP
260 SP
95 ATK
250 MATK
302 HIT
32 CRIT
275 DEF
183 MDEF
163 FLEE

I used the calculator on http://ww4.enjoy.ne.jp/~to4/R/hom.html to determine my stats, and most of them seemed to be on the very low to average percentile based on the stats in the vanil wiki page.

There is no need to worry about stats of vani on Renewal servers, as long as it wasn't evolved before november 2011.

If you evolved your homunculus after Nov 2011 you don't have to remake your vani since it will hit the stat cap anyways.

Necro'ing thread because I'm about to ask a similar question anyway.

How is my Vanilmirth doing? This is on the Classic Loki server by the way. Hope the replies are pleasant ones so I do not have to delete and remake one.

It's okay. Nothing special, but not bad either.

On classic, all that really matters on a vani is matk.

(note, part below is about renewal, not classic)

If you evolved your homunculus after Nov 2011 you don't have to remake your vani since it will hit the stat cap anyways.

AFAIK stat growth has not changed. The only change is HP/SP, and only from the evolution (not normal levelups). It's a huge wad of SP though (like 600 or something for a vani?) and a few thousand HP. This ONLY effects homunculi which were evolved (as in using a stone of sage) BEFORE some time around november 2011. If your homun was created after that date, or it was evolved after that date, or if it's not evolved at all yet, this issue is not relevant to you.

Don't, your vani is fine.

HP/SP growth doesn't need to be good during the pre-S days - your homun gets the majority of it's hp/sp as homun S and from evolution and mutation. Don't worry about whether you're a little short on HP/SP. Unless you're making an eira HP doesn't even matter, and unless you're making an eleanor (which you shouldn't, they're crap) SP doesn't really matter either.

Re the basic stats, even if it's growth starts out low, it'll hit the stat cap before 150. Especially something like str, which all the homun S's get plenty of (except maybe eira?)

Thanks for your evaluation, its nice to get a reply from the expert himself. I really appreciate it. :)

On classic, all that really matters on a vani is matk.

I see, thanks again. By checking the irowiki Classic page, it says that the Top Stat for Matk for an evolved Vanilmirth is 989. The Matk value for my Vanilmirth is 868, is this good or should it be a little higher, I am asking this to see if I should remake my Vani to get one with a better Matk value. What are the chances of me getting a new Vani with better Matk? If the chances are low, I'll just have to make do with this lilttle homunculus of mine. What is your take on this?

I thought 1k matk was possible under classic mechanics (just barely)... I knew someone who had a vani with 1k matk

You're around the 90th percentile for int; you should keep it.

Thanks again for the explanation and all, I'll keep my Vanilmirth then. Thank you very much DrAzzy :)
