All of those databases say the same thing, even RMS (which is often inaccurate. Linking to the RMS database is blocked not just because the site promotes illegal private servers, but also because it is grossly inaccurate, so links to it will mislead players).

Blood Tears does what it says on the package - it uses wide-area bleed. That's the skill that monsters like Bow Guardian use to make the whole screen bleed. http://db.irowiki.or...ster-info/1830/ It's the skill that makes a claw mark appear in the middle of the screen and the whole screen go red for an instant.

Wide Area Bleeding does not inflict damage, and none of the descriptions of the katar or the skill itself imply that it does, nor that it deals AoE damage in any other way.
