On Monday, October 22nd, ROSE Online will launch on Steam, the gaming platform developed by Valve.

From the Steam client, you will be able to register and play new ROSE Online game accounts. If you already have an existing ROSE Online account, you will not be able to access that account through Steam.

Current ROSE accounts will need to be logged in normally, although you can still launch ROSE from the Steam client by following these instructions.

We hope you will help us welcome the members of the Steam community to the world of ROSE Online.

hmm so the old accounts can still be access and non of our items would be gone??
so if we have the old account we would be playing with other people that's on steam client???

Read the main post. If you are an old member of Rose you will have to access Rose the normal way. If you want to make a Steam account it will be a new account on Rose. There are instructions as to how to link to your present account through Steam if you like but you won't be getting Rose updates and stuff through there.

This is just another way to hopefully get more players

How will the chat function work?
Was thinking if you are to play Rose online full screen (eh I never do but just a thought) will the steam chat still pop up like it does on othergames cause I tried to make it work before on full screen with rose but the steam chat didn't pop up, I think it's probably cause it wasn't a steam game but still =)

Firstly, let me say that I think this is fantastic news, and I would like to commend the staff for securing this new avenue for players to come to the game. Steam is fast becoming the biggest place people look for games on the PC, I don't want to take away from the fact that you've done this.

All I'm going to say is that it's a real shame this didn't happen sooner, the thing strangling this game is the constant drip drip loss of players. You can watch the spawn point in Adventure Plains for hours and see not a single new person appear. I just hope that the new players that this will bring in (and I do beleive it will) will be sufficient in number to revive the game, as I feel this may be too late.

I am glad to see so many of you excited for ROSE being added to Steam and for some of their community to join our own.

If some of you could also show us some love over on Metacritic, we can use our review to try bringing even more people to ROSE.
