Have you been botting or using other third party programs? IIRC at least one of them can under some circumstances result in doubled chat messages.

Otherwise, see if relogging fixes it.

not sure, haven't had time to play that much in the last couple of days. this also happened in the beginning of classic but then just stopped but came back after i had to install everything again.

what about something left in the registry or something by a private server? i had the alt+numbers stuff and in ymir the bm settings from a server i played almost 3 years ago even though it was in a different folder and has been deleted long ago

No, not that kind of thing. It's stuff that hooks into the client, if you exit the thing hooking into the client without restarting the client.

I think it won't come back when you restart client - if it does, then we may have a new issue.

It's conceivable that this happened through some other failure (maybe ROReplay or NoSpam getting into a bugged state that mimics the double-announcement behavior? )

It also happens to me that double announcement will occur if you're using battle message.. While on regular message, it will only occur once at a time..

i think he means the battle message tab. if that's where the problem is and regular is fine then i guess i'll choose the double announcements regular message tab is always filled with You got Crap Item (1) spam and that's worse
