hello

i just downloaded and installed the game but i have an error when i try to patch it
it says :

connection failure (patch.roseonline.com:80)
Failed to connect to the server


any idea of what i did wrong or what should i do?

i uninstalled properly, downloaded the game again from warp portal's website, reinstall the game and i still have this damn error QQ

i really don't understand what i did wrong

I can tell you what Calanor has said before, It seems like your connection has been disconnected from them. You can close the Launcher and reopen it to try again, you may want to try adding ROSE to your firewall, and anti virus exceptions lists and trying it again as well.

i already did that

i tried the genpatch think too but same error
how can i lose my connection? i'm on the web at the same time so it's weird

i hope somebody will find a way because i really tried everything we can read in the bug report threads and nothing works

i to hav been having patching poblems inomaly sit there for 10 mins hitting retry hepch tilli abl to get on

You can try pinging the patch server to make sure you are connecting at patch.roseonlinegame.com

i'm on windows 7, i can play ROSE online lately, after few days i din play then i can play at all...
i tried to reinstall it but it still cant connect to the patch server.

Sounds like you got something on your computer that is blocking the rose online patch client from communicating with the server.

What anti-virus, firewalls, etc... do you got on your system?

Hi there...got the same issue..deleted and reinstall the whole client and doesn't work
Tried using the defrag in the setup option and it shows that i am only having patch 419 and worse of all is that i can't even log into the game now as when i got onto the avatar menu and tried logging into the game, the client error will pop up and the window will automatically close by itself.
Really hope someone will be able to fix this.
By the way i had put rose client in the exception list for the firewall, am using windows 7 and do not have a anti virus software yet as i just got this new lappy.

Are you running the client as an administrator?

If you could do check all again and see if it tries to update itself passed 419 at all

yup, ran that as administrator as well and i can't use the 'check all' option as i will get the similar error.....weird thing is this error states that i could not connect to the patch server while i am watching youtube at the same time -_-

I've been having the same problem, but it seemed like it just fixed itself or something... I had disabled my antivirus and firewall but that wasn't working, then I decided I'd try one more time and out of the blue it started working. Hopefully I didn't jinx it, because it's still running... <_<

It seems like this has been a general problem with WarpPortal for me. When I got the email confirmation email right after installing the game and clicked on the link, the page it took me to wouldn't load the first time. After I refreshed, it worked. Then I tried going to the download page to try and redownload and reinstall the game, but twice the download page wouldn't load. :\

I had same error but got it to work. All I did was click the arrow next to the retry and check all plug ins. The button changed from retry to start, Let me know if this worked.

guys.. are you running AVAST FREE ANTIVIRUS? if so.. go to webshield>>>expert settings>>> and mark check the "scan traffic from well known......" that fixed my problem..

i had the same problem too.. and i thought rose had compatability issues with windows 8 since im using windows 8 now.. but i was wrong.. it was the antivirus fault..
