Honestly im not happy at all. All these god items and MVP cards are just gonna come together along with all these cheaters and botters and dooshbags. There will be absolutly no way a new/small guild will be able to even exist. Its basically going to be a cluster F%$# of cheaters attacking other cheaters. If the GM's can promise to start really banning ppl now that they have NO EXCUSE to check more than one server now maybe it can work. But i really do have my doubts...It also means that valk now has that dumb ass new god item system doesnt it......

I dont believe the world will end on 12/21/12 but maybe the Mayans were talking about the end of RO

This... I didn't care when they were merging ygg+ymir but now valk is randomly tossed into it, too. Not really happy but I guess we'll see. :/

Not even one person? You're only watching over two RO servers after this merge though. I know you guys have other games to take care of, but botting will have a huge impact on such a large userbase.

Bots. Main reason why a lot of people prefer ygg server and didn't mind ygg+ymir merge. Lets face it, the only people that want 3-way merge are regular woers. To woe with more people. I guess casual players don't matter

I am a little confused becuz when i inquired 2 days ago, I was told there was not a set date. So i paid out 800 wpe to xfer 3 chars to YGG. I was lied to and I feel like I should just receive a refund and wait till the merge.

What if I made characters on ymir and valk (since I play on ygg), but didn't get them very high leveled (talking about having them be novices or low leveled first class noobies). Would they all get on one account so I could take my time leveling them, or would they possibly get deleted for being low leveled?

Ahhh...cant say I'm too happy about this merge since I don't really pvp/woe, nor am I into big crowds that much. Although I did play on the most populated Renewal Server (Valk), I was actually looking to transfer into a more peaceful/quiet server with an adequate amount of people (Ygg), but oh well D: Not really into old-school Classic mechanics

Anyway I feel like Ima get flamed for this but, I'm hoping for a new renewal server in the hopefully not so distant future. Just a server for those who prefer a bit more quiet server like me, but hopefully wont end up being as dead as Ymir anytime soon.

Forget about the bots, guys, ok? I know its difficult but this game has been infested with bots since Beta. There aren't steps that Gravity is capable of, or willing to do that will get rid of all of 'em. I'd rather put up with them than have Gravity try some knee-jerk approach (like GameGuard) to get rid of them anyway. Having one classic and one renewal server might make it easier for their scarce GM team to alleviate SOME of the botting, who knows.

There will be 27 spots after merge. But if you don't have 27 chars already made, you are only allowed to have 9(VIP). It was mentioned in OP I think

Thank you ! I mean i JUST sent my server xfer request 10 hours ago ! After being told there was not a set date in place !! I dont mind waiting a little extra, but damn if I dont warrant a full WPE refund :<

I'm saying what if I make noobs before the merge just so I have more than 9 spots on one account, but leave them as like novices or something since I don't have time to level 18 new characters before then.

I DO NOT support this merge! This is NOT a good idea! There are so many problems with this idea. I'm going to write them all down for you and hope I generate enough of an audience to sway this decision. Here are the main points as to why I do NOT support this merge:

1. I'm from the Yggdrasil server. It's a cute little server, usually 500-600 people on at a time. Everyone knows each other. It's cozy. There are usually 1000+ people online at the Valkyrie server, and another couple hundred at the Ymir server. Put all those together and you have almost 2000 people online on a single server! Talk about overcrowded!

Lol this is where I stopped reading. You think 2000 is crowded? Where were you back when the original Chaos' population was 15000?

By no means is more players bad. It's when there are no players left that single guilds start to monopolize WoE. Ever heard of alliances? We actually use to have those back in the day thanks to large server populations.

It was nice when Pront, Geffen, Payon and Al De alliances existed. 4+ guilds from each major town working together, competing with the other towns, trading spaces in guilds to get GD access, sharing vent servers with each other, etc. The list goes on and on. Those were the golden days of RO. Not now. Not when there's 200 players left on Ymir and the entire server is owned by 1-2 guilds.

While I dislike renewal a lot and probably will not return to it even after this merger occurs (I'm a beta player and I'm enjoying my time a lot on Classic), it still is the best thing that could happen to it - there's no denying that. If you were an older player you'd know that there's no worse feeling than logging in and seeing your server's population plummet at the rate Ymir's did. It sucked when Chaos died and it sucks just as much now that Ymir has died.

RO is an MMO. 200 players is not an MMO. The server populations were never intended to be as low as they are now. They are suppose to be high. I don't know how many other MMOs you've played, but when server populations decline on other MMOs they are always merged with other servers just as they are here on RO. That's how it always is.

If you can't grasp or comprehend this then maybe you shouldn't be playing MMOs.
