I haven't played any of the games past the 3rd generation, so my list is limited.

Alakazam (Modest):

I like Muk the most. So I would use a team of 6 Muks, or a mix of Muk and Grimer. Its very difficult when you are against a gym strong against poison creatures.

cleffy fix my requiem client so it wouldnt crash on loading screen so i could troll people ingame!

avast! duh! and i have it for like 2.5 years on and only in the past 1-2 months this started to happen. halp!

Here is how you set the exception with Avast. Only swap Ragnarok with Requiem. You might need to point to the 3 .exe files in your Program Files(x86)\Gravity\Requiem Folder.

Did you follow for these options?

To clarify his directions for newer versions of Avast:
1) Right Click the Avast Orange Icon and click open avast! user interface.
2) Click REAL-TIME SHIELDS
3) Click Behavior Shield
4) Click Expert Settings
5) Click Trusted Processes
6) click the empty line then click browse and browse to the ragnarok folder on your harddrive
choose ragexe for valkyrie, Yggdrasil, and Ymir
choose clragexe for Classic (Loki)

You might also have to do the same for your Windows Defender if its active.

yes, did that, added all 3 .exe files there and my windows defender is off.

Are you running any of the exe in compatibility or admin mode?
Have you tried opening UPDATERUSA.exe directly from the Requiem folder.
Try turning off Avast and trying.

turned all the shields off and it works. wtf. i cant keep the av off for a dead game on which i log from time to time.

Not proposing you play without an anti-virus. Just narrowing it down incase it was not the anti-virus. Turn on your anti-virus shields including the firewall 1 by 1 and see when the game does not work when loading into a region. Its that shield that is causing an issue and needs to have its exceptions set properly.

none of the windows build it security systems are active. i keep only the avast on. when i shut it down, the game didnt crash anymore. avast had few version updates recently, never had this problem til this fall....
