Hi lady and germs,

I'm thinking about creating a Genetic for the sole purpose of fun. However, I can't seem to find any good guides out there. I plan to PVP, WOE, and MVP using the gears that I already have sitting in storage.

I would greatly appreciated it if you could help me with my stats and skills based on the items below. Please let me know which gears I should swapped out for optimal damage in both PVM and WOE situations.

For PVM:
Headgear: RWH
Armor: Glorious Suit
Weapon: +12 KVM Mace + endow for PVM @_@???
Shield: Valk Shield
Mant: +9 Immune Backpack
Shoes: Variant
Accessories: Glorious Ring/Moh
Should I switch out any of the items below for optimal damage or is this enough to get by?

For PVP/WOE:
Headgear: +12 CEB
Armor: GR Plate
Weapon: +12 KVM Mace
Shield: +12 Cran Immune Shield
Mant: Immune WOE Mant
Shoes: WOE Shoes
Accessories: Glorious Ring/Moh
I heard that go for spell 2 or spell 3 RWC pendants? Can perform well without these pendants?

Skills: I'm still so confused about this part.
Q1) Should I max Hell Plant, Acid Bomb, as well as Demonic Fire or just get some level for one of them while maxing the rest?
Q2) Thorn Wall: The difference between lv 1 and lv 5 is a 4 secs duration? Is Lv 1 good enough or should I max this skill too?
Q3) Thorn Trap: Lv 3 is the pre-requirement for Thorn Wall. Is it worth getting Lv 5?
Q4) Crazy Thorn: Should I max this skill?
Q5) Sword Mastery: Should I even get this skill? Doe sit improve my dmg in WOE/PVM?
Q6) Blood Sucker: Should I max this too?

Stats:
Please let me know what my final stats should be. I see some pro Gen have high agi and uses a Sera for nice flee boost. Please let me know what stats I should aim for so I can decide wether to use my free reset now or later.

Homun: Oh god this is like Physic to me. I hate physics :D. I will ask about this later, but if you dont mind could you let me know at what Level after trans should I start focusing on leveling my homun?

Armor: Glorious Suit In PVM?! Are you smoking crack or something? Wearing useless armor is a luxury we do not have. Appropriate elemental armor is NOT optional. Default Porcellio if just maximizing damage. These may need to be in Orleans, see acc discussion
Weapon: +12 KVM Mace + endow for PVM @_@??? 3x Kingbird Red Twin Edge, or 2x EA enchanted Byeollongum for MVP (it's a little better than the twin edge), OR to really maximize damage, 2x EA enchanted kingbird hurricane fury (but you'll get rocked if you're fighting anything hard)
Shield: Valk Shield
Mant: +9 Immune Backpack
Shoes: Variant
Accessories: Glorious Ring/Moh Those are fine for easy PVM, but where's the fun in easy?! In the challenging MVPs, 1 or both of these should be KBC. I use KBC WDB and Phen WDB, or 2x KBC WDB and Orleans Gown. The +matk from spell enchants on RWC accessory will add damage, actually a fair amount of it, so if you have a 2x spell RWC accessory with KBC in it, there's your accessory.

Shoes: WOE Shoes Where is the rest of the set?! These are only good with full set!
Accessories: Glorious Ring/Moh Do you want die? KBCs, man!

Skills: I'm still so confused about this part.
Q1) Should I max Hell Plant, Acid Bomb, as well as Demonic Fire or just get some level for one of them while maxing the rest? Max hell plant, AB, and Summon Flora (to maximize hell plant damage). You're not going to be able to fit a WoE build with demonic fire and fire expansion (otherwise you can't get Crazy Weed and Mandy Howl).

Q4) Crazy Thorn: Should I max this skill? Yes, if you care about woe, see wiki description, the higher the level, the more ganbantien effects get scattered through AoE
Q5) Sword Mastery: Should I even get this skill? Doe sit improve my dmg in WOE/PVM? No, it's mastery attack, useless.
Q6) Blood Sucker: Should I max this too? no, just need lvl 1 (if not getting rest of tree) or 3 (prereq)

On my WoE gen I got 10 CV + prereqs, 5 mandy + prereqs, Cannon, Boost, Remodel max, and item sling to make people sit with banana bombs.
On my MVP/PVM/SpecPharm gen I got DF3 (maybe going to 5), FE 5 (+ prereq), Bloodsucker 1, cart skills, Spec Pharm 10, and am still debating how to use the last points.
You're also VERY tight on biochem skills. You need FCP, and AB, and summon flora (has huge impact on hell plant damage), and at least lvl 1 homun res, and aid pot 5 (unfortunately - it's the only way to give SP to your homun :-/ Might be able to cut this for more potion research if you have a dieter after you're done leveling it? Or if you AFK level homun, maybe?), leaving you without pot research maxed, and hence pots don't heal you as much as they should, so you pot more slowly and die more easily.

Stats:
Please let me know what my final stats should be. I see some pro Gen have high agi and uses a Sera for nice flee boost. Please let me know what stats I should aim for so I can decide wether to use my free reset now or later.

90-120 base str - 90 to get HBP bonus, 120 if you have megs for meg bonus (high str is also favored if you have hammer), 100 is what I'm getting when I reset my gen.
90-100 base int - lots of people get more than this, but that's stupid. With a 160 atk weapon (ie, RTE), 1 str adds 87% more damage than 1 int to acid bomb damage. Haven't run the numbers on cart cannon, but quick envelope back calcs suggest that if int helps more than str on cart cannon, it's not by much. So just get what you need for hbp bonus.
100 total vit - for status resist, obv.
90-100 base dex - for cast time and backpack bonus, which is huge for AB+CC.
0-41 base luk - for the attack. You think I'm crazy? Run the numbers, 1 str = 1.87 int = 2.8 luk = 4.7 dex (again, assuming RTE - a mjolnir or other thing with high weapon (just weap attack, equip attack doesn't get str bonus) attack makes str better), in terms of AB damage. When 1 str costs 16 status points, and 1 vit costs 10-11, suddenly those luk points at 2/3/4/5 points each look like a bargain!
1 agi.

Sera homun does not add flee. Sera's ability is Painkiller, which gives you massive subtraction type defense so you take 1's from normal attacks from most monsters (assuming correct gear), but kills your aspd. You're thinking of Eira, which fixes attack speed of homun and owner at 189 and flee at 500 - so if you have an eira, any agi you have is completely useless, since your eira gives you all the benefits of agi without wasting stat points.

You should start leveling your homunculus as alchemist. It should be 99 evolved by the time you're 99 trans, then the first thing you do as genetic should be to change it to homun S. Do not let homun level past 99 without changing to homun S or it's stats will be permanently gimped - once you change to gen, it can level past 99, and even a single kill will do this if it has extra exp. Be careful.

OH, WoE plate. You said plate, which traditionally means, as in http://db.irowiki.or...item-info/2317/ (and there are several GR full plates floating around)

Should work on homun now, why wait? Unless you're going for something that you have to watch stat growth on (ie, non-vani going into a homun S with weaknesses in the same stats as your base homun), you don't evem necessarily need to level it, just start feeding it while you're semi-afk (though you might as well afk at ant eggs instead of prontera and level it too).

I never said agi was useful on a gen; I don't consider it to be worth putting stat points into, which is why I recommended leaving it at 1. If you want the aspd to spam hellplant, get an Eira and get better ASPD and flee than you could get with even a high-agi build, without investing a single point

Did you mean to get item sling instead of bomb and mix cooking 1?

WOW So I need sling to throw acid bomb? I'm planning to use acid bomb only. Do I need this skill for Acid Bomb since Acid Bomb is a bio chem skill?

Well I don't plan to make food (unless its recommended). I can sacrifice one level of Cracy Vines for Lv 2 bomb creation or should I keep Lv 1 bomb creations? I can still make acid bomb with Lv 1 right?

No. Also to use acid bomb you need acid bottles and bottle grenades which can be made as early as alchemist, personally i would buy them from someone else or make them using a slave brewer alchemist/biochem. Item sling and bomb creation are not required to use any 2nd class trans skills.

agi 40 total (for cast animation)

vit 90

int 100

dex 100

dex 50



I plan to use CC, Hell Plant, and Acid Bomb only. I will use them in combination of course. Will my stats be ok? What can i tweak to make it even better.

I would suggest getting a total of 100 vit that is base vit + bonus(ex.:96+4) for stun immunity great for WoE/PvP/MVP. Other than that i can see nothing wrong with that stat build. If you are going to use your gene in PvP/WoE i suggest getting mandragora howling, thorn wall and crazy vines, all these skills suck at pvm but great in pvp/woe.

For WoE you need to use Hell Plant as an offensive skill, mandragora howl, blood sucker, and thorn wall are the best skill the trap enemies, also use crazy vines to remove the magnetic earth of your enemies and traps.

For MVP use Acid Bomb and Cart Cannon to kill the mobs, or get an fire expansion and demonic fire build(not sure pretty sure of the last one, since I've never try it).

Stats are as follow: str 90
agi 40 total (for cast animation)

int 100
dex 100
dex 50

Dex 50 and dex 100 eh? I figure the 50 is luk.

Okay, first off, are these stats base or base + job? It kinda matters!

Vit should be 100 total, otherwise your character sucks (this is true of most classes, not just gen). You need status immunity.
90 base str 100 base int does less damage with bomb, but more damage with hell plant, vs 100 base str 90 base int. Be aware that you are making this tradeoff.

Total (not base) luk should be a multiple of 3 (in the atk formula, it's floor(luk/3)).

What type of Homun S are you planning to get? It matters, in that if you're getting an Eira, the agi will be wasted because your aspd will be fixed at 189 most of the time.

I have a question here? Is the Glorious Morning Star really usefull at WoE?

I've tested it in Sakray and it didnt increase the damage of Hell Plant, so why ppl keep getting it? Is there something I've been missing?

The Glorious Morning Star is not really useful for Gen because it doesn't effect Hell Plant like you said. Acid Bomb only does half of the damage in WOE/PVP compared to what it could normally do in normal maps.
It's more useful on a Sura than anything.
