FMA because it proved that shonen and plot and character development could go together, plus Ling Yao is in it
Gurren Lagann because it was so dumb it was awesome

I think these two are the only animes I only like, could never find an anime with such a good content of horror,
mystery and drama. It's pretty awesome, I wish there were more animes like this. =P

Currently: Higurashi (and Umineko) no Naku Koro ni. Pretty much for all the same reasons Miii stated, but don't forget that it has some hilarious funny parts too, like the punishment games... xD Also, Shion Sonozaki...need I say more?

Favorite Anime series would have to be Dragonball, Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT. I saw them as a kid and always liked it since then.

I'd have to agree. Even though there are some nice 2000+ series out. But I've notice the quality of story lines have been decreasing the past 3-4 years. I think the best anime I've seen that has came out in the past year or so would have to be Highschool of the Dead cause it carries an original storyline. Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu was good too.Not that I have anything against the new stuff, but I'm delighted to see the love of the 90s anime in this thread.
I love the 1990 anime series, even though I didn't watch them when they first came out because I was like 5 lmao.
