This is just a suggestion I got from an idea that Inubashiri came up with. What if instead of dropping lant. mobs dropped organs and such and those organs were worth the amount of lant they are now. They wouldnt be buffs, but just used to sell to merchants for lant. it doesnt make sense that the mobs are carrying around money, thats just goofy. Also this would fit well into the horror theme of the game.

So tell me, is it logical for Raid boss and mobs to drop undamaged armour and weapons? This is not RL

No thank you. Lets not make this any more painful.

Would be nice if bosses also dropped materials you could use to craft armor pieces. That way even when people didnt get a piece that they needed they could still craft pieces from that set.

I was thinking that the raid bosses could give points, like the battlegrounds does. Each raid would have its own kind of points, and the points would go to each party member in an equal share. The points could be exchanged for items later. This way the players always get something, there would be more reasons to raid, and people would be able to pick what they need and not some random useless thing. Ofc, the amount of points and lant required to aquire the items would define how easy or hard the items would be able to be obtained. With this, the ninja loot also would be prevented.

Ofc, there are some bad things about that system but i think the good ones worth it.

A nice idea.

Another Idea that a fellow co-worker thought up was "Armor/Weapon" type lucky boxes. Ex. a Helm Lucky Box would have all of the available helms, and a player would have a chance to get the item that they want rather than being lucky on random drops. Of course Magic Sticks could be used to get the exact item they wish.

But I think that if players get exactly what they want on the first try, there will not be much need to Raid over and over which I think would have users lose interest in the game faster. Again, it's all about finding the happy medium of keeping players happy and keeping them in game.

i like this idea the best. hours and hours raiding for one boss to get nothing is not worth it. i think this would balance out the higher levels and make people want to play more

Yes is a nice idea, i saw it in CrimeCraft (another game of the Warpportal) and it works, but ofc, they dont have raids there. Still, i agree that could reduce the amount of people that want to raid, over all for the harddest ones. Maybe if those items were the Theme Battle (i said Theme Battle bcs people also go for the xp and lant and not only the reward items) ones, then still could be interesting enough to buy the boxes and people would keep going to TB. But ofc, like in the raids, there is a risk of reduction of the amount of people.

I got another idea when was thinking about the Deaf Ears thread in a mix with this one. Well, the base idea was from CraftWise but still... :handshake:

To start, for this idea they should create that point system for the raids or at least keep the drop rate we have now, otherwise it would be kind of imposible.

The idea would be to have an alternative to the reinforce mall items. This alternative would be the posibility of create a fusion between 2 items to rise +1 the reinforce grade. For example if someone have a Ruinhorn's Shining Upper +15 and a Ruinhorn's Shining Upper +0, the player can use the piece +0 to increase by 1 the other one. Ofc, some rules of not be able to use an item with higher plus to upgrade one with lower, should be applied to avoid accidents, or even make this only work with pieces at +0. Since the cost would be really high, maybe it should have 100% chance of success.

This system would give a posibility to free players to be able to upgrade their items whitout use mall, even if in reality most people still would chose to do it with mall, even by buying the mall items from other players. But at the same time, it give a chance to reinforce lower lvl items, that anyway, nobody (except twinks maybe) use mall items to rise them anyway. Also, would promote people to go to the battlegrounds and raids, since wont be anymore a matter of go get the points for the armor +0 and dont go anymore.

Which bring us to the 2nd part. With this idea implemented, then an idea, like the one Sakana posted, would be posible. Sell in packs some of the items, at a reasonable price that also dont make them lose money in comparison with the items to increase the success of the reinforcement process. Maybe dont sell all the items but some, like the Theme Battle rewards.

Also another posibility to make the reinforcement system more friendly, could be:

Maybe modify the way reinforcement is done??
Idk, make it so you cant break or downgrade item untill after +10 (still it can fail, maybe even with less chances). After that and till +20 it can break, but not downgrade, and then both.

That way you could reach +10 without any item mall (but with a lot more resources) and to +20 with some. Prices could be adjusted so in the end, to get a +30 thing ppl should spend the same money as they do now, but the diference with +20 ppl and +30 is not as big as +10 (or less)to +30 wich is the point we are now.

From: http://forums.warppo...7085-deaf-ears/

Or maybe some kind of mix between both ideas.

Also, for both ideas (to be able to make a fussion of items and have reinforcement grades in which the item cant break and/or deteriorate) the cost could of the reinforcement process could be higher, and that would promote the sells of the Reinforcement Tools, or they could even create some xeons (like the ones that increase the success rate) that lower the cost.

i think another version of sakana's idea is that if you get a drop from a boss, say devastation lower armor, you could put it into a lucky box type item with an item mall coupon, then you have a random chance for a different carus lower armor. tyrant and ET items would have lower chance to be obtained. then you could have a magic stick type item that you can buy that would increase your chance of an particular item by like 5% each one. or if you could get any other carus item, you could buy magic stick type items to increase chance.

you act like there's only certain people that can buy things. and i do remember being able to buy points with lant, so it's not like you don't have that option.
