edit-production item shouldnt work on item mall clothing, leave that for julie and smith to handle.

good idea mimi. would also be nice if aid reduces time proportionate to helpers lvl in that profession.

its time to release guardian! let new player obtain it.

gathering interaction-minigame r mini mission map (so ppl dont abuse multi cilent and afk. i want to chat! i want to play!)
dragon saga is a rpg action.. casting skill and afk sound more like a click action rpg..
*lucky spot should'nt fail..

soul transfer-no working down level. both item zhould be same or within 10 level(ex10-19,20-29). soul transfer sould be an option for ppl that dont want to play with julie luck and randomizer chance. A fix if u work hard. not game break.

option expander- not needed. If your gear are op, your gear are op, this only make it worst...

socket card to me is like monster card but boost to armor, weapon, ect.
customizing your amor is fun. you can get aim to hit the evade.

edit-production item shouldnt work on item mall clothing, leave that for julie and smith to handle.

IMO, they SHOULDN'T release the Fire/Water Guardian sets. Rather, I much prefer them release sets that are equivalent sets that have a different design, because I feel that in any game, players should be able to have their own characters that look a unique way that can do just as much good as the person next to them. I'm fine with the special sets, and if anything, you can always amp up those stats instead of water guardian/fire guardian sets.

I like the idea of minigames as a way of earning rewards via gathering. Or maybe because I was influenced by how a certain item was gathered in Nostale.

Option expander is the big elephant in the room. While it certainly gives players like me who don't have money to purchase from IM more strength, it just gives IM users even more power. Unfortunately, its the IM items that give such a significant boost, so if anything, don't give everyone something in order to balance the game out.

Yes, productions should only affect normal items, not IM items. I can get away from that because I have costumes, but can new players (who have no new costumes really) be able to match up to other players.

And I agree with everyone who says that it takes away from the game. I like hacking and slashing, beating up enemies as I make my way to the boss. I'd rather gather materials through fighting enemies than going through a Farmville-like process.

i was thinking rather then a set but the stats bonus.
im talking about socket card bonus so you add stat similar to water guardian/fire guardian sets but to any favorite IM pieces you like. Nothing game breaking just similar to water guardian/fire guardian sets.

Still with no added effect from production system just a Warpportal IM customizing thing.

Sold by Warpportal in item mall.

edit-

Unfortunately, its the IM items that give such a significant boost, so if anything, don't give everyone something in order to balance the game out.

i would love it if item mall was only for look but water guardian/fire guardian sets play a big part of ppl gear and money.

First off: I am a farmer. I admit it freely. I do it for myself (I have issues? agreed).

Now on to the main stuff. I like the professions system cause it allows an easier alt to enchant and soul craft. Also, its an easier way to earn money. True it tedious and time-consuming but its because of exactly this point that not many people will bother with more than one branch. The professions will turn into exactly what they are called: professions.

I agree with igozuvi, debuff should not affect the same branch of profession. Everybody else who is pointing out the imbalance should realize that most of the people who have the awesome stuff (heirloom, +20 IM items, legendary, etc) did put their time and money/effort into it. It only makes sense that those who started playing earlier get more perks. Btw, I only started playing 4 months ago.

P.S. I am one of those crazy guys who is aiming for all professions. Which means I will invest time and money/effort into it. I have most of my 11 prof skills to lvl 200 already and mining is almost 300.

I totally agreed with what he said.

I just realize DS having too many whiners, complain this, complain that, and never satisfy
What's wrong with the system? If you want to get stronger, you need to work for it!
And funny I even hear complain about lvl4 machines breakage :waddle: what friends are for???? If it's fix, I'm pretty sure there will be another complain like' OMGGGG IM spenders use 10+ alts with lvl4 machines reaching max exp or stats
within such....time and so easily :)
Anyway, the only problem I have and I do agreed with others is about can't chat properly while doing Gathering. Beside that, please don't make the system get even worser :) It's already hard for IM spenders not to mention casual players will take monthsss of farmin :D

I think the reason so many people are complaining about the fact that it takes so long to gain EXP, process materials, etc. is the fact that it's all soooo boring. Personally, I would be perfectly all right with having to farm for months to get everything I want out of the system on one character, as long as it was fun. But if that months of farming essentially amounts to months of AFKing, no thanks.

Well it's not like I expect it to be an extravaganza of entertainment, but just about *anything* would be more interesting than sitting there watching a gauge fill up repeatedly.

casting skill and give less then no attention to the game is nonchallenge in a type of game dragon saga is. Gathering is mindless and take no skill, no game play just a battle to see who pc can stay on for a long period of time.

farming! never fun and too easy will most likely not fun at all

production system is a different type of gampeplay, boring one. I know other ways of farm like f7, HD, ect. thoese r fun why? cuz of interaction+ good gameplay.

production system= boring and if something is not fun ppl quit.

edit- i dont want it easy. Endless hacking and slashing is not easy.

My problem?? IT TAKES TOO LONG!!!!!!! and my prob with pvp is mostly guardian equips... but here I watched a great idea... GET RID OF EM!! how?

Fire guardian pieces = Devil set pieces
Water guardian pieces = Angel set pieces

that would prolly be the only way to balance it.

since when this topic becomes a pvp problem..? o.o

for the profession system, maybe if you guys put more description in game, or tutorial kind of, just like Rimmy said. it would help the people more since not all of them likes to go on forum.

I'd rather not lose items i paid 25$ for at one point, reducing the stats or putting them in line with other special grade IM costumes would be a much better solution(Or for WP to release them for a future event, my personal choice). Also Isn't this completely off-topic from the original thread's point?

Anyways, I personally don't mind the profession system being a option to give something to do to their characters while they afk. The problem lies in the fact that without multiple clienting things will take much longer than a large portion of the player base is willing to put in/wait for/ect. I feel that both the rewards and the time needed to gather/refine/produce should be reduced greatly.

that was a repply for what another person said, not an off topyc at all, I pointed thats its just unbalancing everything

and Walther, when did we talked about pvp? since professions concerns even more unbalance in pvp because of the expand in soul force.

Personally, professions work for ppl like me who are afk half the time anyway. so afk truly is NOT the problem here. If you wanna lvl and farm items from MM, go ahead and do so. Leave the professions to ppl like me

 rule!

edit: only time they will matter is if WP comes out with medals for them.

The professions are boring to use, non-intuitive, and add nothing of value to the game.

They should be removed or completely overhauled in my opinion.

1.-The profession system is RUINING the game, Have you seen the towns lately? theres nobody there, NOBODY.
Make the system faster so we can continue our gaming as usual, or else its gonna take like 2 months to reach are 500 with just 1 character, thats incredible boring.

2.-As some ppl in Iah forums said, the best solution to the imbalance problem its very easy, make the expandable options only usuable at PVE not PVP, i know theres like 3-6 ppl spending their life and their entire money in this game to have the best stats, but i think that solution is gonna help way more ppl than just 3-6 that are gonna complain.

Think about it, you are losing too many players thanks to things that are suppose to bring more players, there's something wrong there.

1. How does having people AFK in town change if they are AFK somewhere else?

2. I'm very curious...what the statistics on these people being "lost"?

Endbringer is right. Discussion about Fire and Water Guardian sets is off-topic. This thread is about Professions, not about everything someone may consider "game-breaking." Ever been told by a teacher that just because your friend talks to you in class doesn't mean you should respond? Consider that.

Because the value and community of the game is measured by people AFK in towns. Of course it doesn't matter if they afk in the farm; it is simply because they are not AFK in town that "ruins" the game, right? Do you have any ability to think in the slightest?

Also the topic of game-breaking stats does not only "ruin" PvP in most players eyes. PvE is easy enough without sets and such. This game is not only about protecting the balance of PvP, but finding a balance between PvP and PvE.

Also I've been touring the farm multiple times over the day. I find people in EVERY channel with the exception of 3 at times. So I am very interested in why we would be losing players from the game purely because of the professions changes.

Wow so many replies,

Stormhaven: well the game is bad designed, we all know that, even without the profession system is a "joke" already.

Kazu731: at least it was better to have ppl in town, most of the afk ppl in town are from ascension-soul guilds, some other ppl are afk too, but IIRC there was a lot of active ppl (at least talking or doing ) in town, wich is better than having everyone afk doing their jobs and they cant even chat, the game has been so boring since the professions arrived.

Megamanxpert: at least you can see them, some of them are not afk, just showing off their stats wich is the real point of being there.

So to me (im gonna repeat this for kazu731) TO ME its way better to have the game as it was before professions (so sorry if you disagree, im being honest, i dont care) and just wait till everyone reach their x2 stats and see how many ppl are gonna pvp with that OP ppl.

Also, dont get mad ppl, CM is asking for our point of view, so im just giving it, sorry to tell you the world isnt as gay as you thought. and im not gonna reply again, so its gonna be a waste of time if you expect that. see you.
