charm

what does charm do?
i read on the forum that it is useless but some clannies say it affects the droprates of unique items.
can anyone tell me whats true and if it is true does anyone know how big the effect is

Really? From what I remember from before I got back it had these effects. Have they removed the effects of charm?

1. Increase rewards items/exp for quests
2. Increase monster respawn around you
3. Increases drop rate/quality (higher tier drops i.e. better chemicals/uniques/etc)

It does actually affect rewards for quests, but that is it.

This is false information, just putting it out there that higher charm gets you more quest rewards and a better chance at a greater number of multiple drops in a single PICKUP. (For example your chance of picking up multiple essence from 1 drop pickup slowly increases so your % chance of getting 8 essences instead of just 2 increases.)

Borgs also have an ability called "Stockpile" which increases this chance as well, which is why they are so awesome in farming parties. More items per pickup = greater profits.

I'd like to know who told you that load of crap? That's completely wrong. The stockpile only works if the BOURG is the one that killed it too. GG
