is this build still a viable build? btw loy, the image for the templar skills is broken.

if this build is still viable, is it a PvP only build, or is it a PvPvE build?

this build is extremely outdated, missing ET, Aos, Omni items. Skill build is missing 55 DNA. Do not listen to kazara. hell its not even a lvl 90 build

RoxCore is right enough about the fact you have to play it like you need it / want it and that each player can have his preferences .

However, tempest is one of the class what is filled with potential useless skills , that mean you could have an OP toon depending on your stuff and still have some skills points as bonus at end levels... thing that can't happen with many physics or druids for example ( many skills on druid's skill tree...)

so i understand you don't want to use a skill reset , but you may have too some day , cause as Roxcore says , you have to find your "style" .

for example , my lil one is more a farmer , so i let besides some so-called "pvp" skills...BUT to talk of some :

curse resist is a pvp type right ? from my opinion : waste of skills points,

the "reflect phys damage skill" ( sorry forget the name , and not in mood to check it now^^') : bull-_- too weak : waste of points ,

teleport cool and fun BUT far too "imprevisible" ( not sure the word is good i, english , sorry ^^' ) what is good for enemies , but not so much for your gameplay

shield mastery that bring 15 block def at level and ...what in next level ? O_o are you kidding me ? ===> no way , one point or nothing...

etc etc

well, hope you see my point, and that could have been a little help for your choices, tempest can be a very strong class , but have many useless skills ,

and if you THE MUST HAVE for PVP it's SLEEP ^^ mystics and defi will hate you and run from you with that moreover with the lvl 80 skill ( up casting time , yeah , yeah forgot name too , don't care , magics are not my main gameplay ^^ but i have good fun with my lil tempy tho , crazy chains of skills for dps , good XD )

having a DoT skill is good for sins...etc etc, ask if we can help more in game , have a good one ;-)

For both PvE and PvP the must have skills in my opinion I've listed below..(DNA as I explain here are not all must have, you'll have to choose)

Templar Tree

Elec Bolt lvl1.

Rejuvenation lvl1. Used to have a longer duration, still worth using now and then. More of a filler to get Lesser heal though.

Lesser Heal lvl10. Recommend to max Swift and Strengthened DNA to make it more effective.

Sleep lvl10.

Tempest Tree

Glaring Light lvl10. Can be made 20m radius ground AoE which is nice for pulling mobs, and in PvP too but maybe not a must have if you can't spare the dna. I personally can't live without it.

Lightning Restraint lvl10. Can have +10 secs duration but the skill doesn't work at all on bosses, and not slow enough in PvP perhaps, so not everyone uses dna on this for pure PvP. It is good for grinding or farming in general, and longer duration aoes are always more effective if you or the enemy/monster gets stunned etc.

Holy Light lvl10. Can have +20sec duration, may or may not be too much.. you can save points here if 20 secs total is all you want, then you only need to spend 5 dna to get 10 secs more. For mostly PvE build though I have it maxed. If I did more pvp then maybe I would save 5 points here.

Magic Weapon Mastery lvl10. Has available dna but points may be better spent elsewhere.
Lightning Mastery lvl10. Can add another 10% with dna, I can't be sure but remember someone I asked who played the class longer than I, prefers dna on this one over the other passive damage skill.

Soul Depuration lvl1. The more points this skill has, the shorter the cooldown however and more DoTs it will remove. Usually lvl1 is enough but it won't be as effective in PvP. Good in dungeons like JS.

Seal of Acceleration lvl4.

Where you put the rest of your skillpoints are really just personal preference, including DNA and yeah as always, some outright useless. Unlike some classes though, there really is no single best build when it comes to a Tempest.
Even with very good gear however, Tempests tend to be squishier than most. You'll be depending on your team mates and support them by having the most ground AoEs in the game, and that makes it potentially the best DPS class in my opinion. If only they would fix the AoE skill that does no damage on bosses, which presumably happens because it has a slow effect which the bosses are immune to.

For PvP only builds, the Instant Moving skill with DNA is quite effective. Some other choices include support party-buffs for melee. BoH is very good for raids and PvP depending on what your team is made of. WoG really should be combined to give both phys/magic dmg for the party instead to make it worth taking. From Templar Tree, you may want to get another instant pewpew @ lvl1 as well. If you are using a shield, the block defense skill does add over 100 more if maxed, but that only helps if you succeed in blocking so may not be the best skill either. The physical defense buff isn't very good, probably not worth taking unless you mostly do solo grind, even then it has very little effect.
