Removal of Water Balls from the Aquas are nice. They shoot too many with that skills. For the last 16th time I've been there, I don't even last 3 seconds because they like to spam Water Ball on me the moment I get in and cast my Level 1 Storm gust (Which freezes like 1 or 2 of them only...) rendering my potions useless anyways.

There's always a way to beat the test, i've seen locks roaming around the servers so obviously they did it. Perhaps go and ask one or gear yourself up with more cast reduction equipment?

Funny thing is, they made the test with Phen Card in mind already. It's not supposed to be our neccessity but it is. Ice Wall is disabled too, what's up with that?

So... What can I gear myself up with 100k to not die in there? I got Edens, Phen, SOD.
For 100k? you can get yourself a chocolate. The mainly good gear is at least 15m+ in saying that have you tried to get Resistances against the element you are stuck at? from what i can see im thinking they are water ele? so Leaf cat cards, a Marc card.
As for freezing if that is your Intentions, Instead of using SG try Frost nova, or that other one for a quick freeze. If you want to stick to SG dim down the skill level you use, the higher the skil level u use the more time it takes to cast. Remembering a spammable skill is worth more then a skil that takes ages to cast and gets you no where.
It is a little hardcore...I gave up on my wiz because I didn't want a brain tumor raging over this quest.
Don't give up!! never give up, i'd suggest stepping back for a day or two and studying up on the monsters, the gear you can get with-in your price range and so forth. but never give in!!

Hmmm how nostalgic... the quest is not that hard unless it has changed these last few months...
Then again, I did it w/o phen cuz I kinda gave it away... Try Frost Nova, SW, Ice Wall, JT and Firebolt?? double imp firebolt was quite useful and faster against those earth type and the last crystal thing than SG itself... for anything else, just spam Frost Nova and JT or Chain Lightning...

Take some HP increase potions with you to increase your life (pretty much doubled mine) and tons of either ales or slim whites (also helps if you got the gym pass to carry more)

I failed this thing too many times. I'm starting to want to delete my HiWiz. 21 fails this whole day, just extorting 100k Zeny from ppl in Prontera to buy 100 Whites.

When do you move from your starting spot? I only tried twice, but the first round of aqua elementals never Water Balled me at all during either attempt - I use Safety Wall so I'm kinda used to not moving, but SW + SG3 froze all six of the non-Aqua monsters on both attempts (attempt 1 w/ SW, attempt 2 without). I then chain lightninged the aquas each time.
The only time I took water ball hits was on my first try when I moved to the upper left petal and had to tank them for more than thirty seconds or so. The second time, before the second wave spawned, I moved to the upper left corner or the lower left petal - the aqua elementals never even moved onto my screen before the dark pings and then the nagas were dead. (In fact, when I moved right to engage the golems and aquas, by all appearances neither they nor the golems had moved at all o.o so I sniped them with a chain lightning and took my time finishing off the golems.)
If you still can't do it with loaned gear and such, though, you'll almost certainly eventually be able to, because there's a patch somewhere down the line in which SG's freeze percentage at level 1 is almost as high as Frost Diver 10 (although I don't remember the exact numbers), so that would be a big help if SG 1 isn't doing it for you now... Only problem is, who knows exactly when we'll have that fix /swt

+4 SOD, Eden Gears, Phen. 150 WoE Whites and 5 WoE Blues. I got a huge break when I managed to hide at the bottem left quarter top left of it and lost two of the aquas. I was able to snipe them on the second round.

If you fail the test, take your time to plan and find out what you're doing wrong. If you're unable to succeed, you might not be ready to become a Warlock yet, put some more effort into it.

Phen/fat whites. The test was nothing compared to how annoying it was to get the two item drops beforehand. That took me like three hours.
