I wish I could help you in answering these questions, but mage is NOT my area of expertise!! My 200 Fire Mage is pathetic--or rather my ability to play a mage, I think, is pathetic! I do more than 10x better if I have a cleric than if I solo with her and use buff pots, but have a very hard time soloing with her on most mobs.

I'll move this to the class discussion section so that people who frequent that topic will hopefully see this and reply, like I often do when people have questions about scouts or gun bourgs .

Good luck to you on the mage--totally not my thing, I get really frustrated when I play mine!
