Protector Skill/DNA setup

Okay, with Kruxena down, I have been having a hard time piecing together a great Skill/DNA build for Prot. Here is what I've got. Any help is welcome.

Skills

0 Chain Slash 1 Fighting Will (Filler) 0 Vital Stab 1 Physical Blessing (Filler) 0 Dire Strike Slash 1 Taunt (Filler for Taunting Cry?) 5 Quick Attack (for Axe) 10 Survival Instinct 0 Onslaught 5 Shield Strike 10 Taunting Cry 10 Skin of Stone 10 Low Blow 1 Restoration 0 Restraint Rescission 10 Shield Mastery 1 Sacred Hand 7 Spiritual Intensification 7 Aegis of Protection 4 Lesser Party Heal 4 Shield Fortress

This should leave 7 Skill points left at 79, so any ideas? Up shield strike for more success or restoration for some easier soloing (LOL I'm gonna miss commie)?

DNA

Only person I have as a prot friend said to put 4 (max) into Shield Fortress. So good idea? And where is a good place for last 21?

Will be pve only, bosses, dungeon etc.

1. Always max +Block skills and DNAs.

2. Max all taunts

3. Use rest of skill pts and dna points on heals/def

Prots are only PvE, we suck in PvP. We can make points by getting hit, but will rarely kill some1. Still our defence buff will allways be welcomed there :rolleyes:

Apart from that... Well, shield fortress is the best skill we have, so max it and max dna on it allways. Resy of DNA can be set up diferent according what you want

Decrease cooldown on heals can be usefull for grinding, spcially if you have no rad with you.
DNA on block defence skills (shield mastery, aegis of protection) helps a lot for raids. No need to max both, but some may give a huge boost from lvl 5 to 6.

Since raids are the "hard" part i suggest geting block defence. 1 DNA in survival instinct and 1 in strengthened restoration can also help a lot to cap defence and reduce mp cost of that heal.

Long range taunt also helps, not maxed, but 2-4 points can help you keep aggro on that hunter or pulling the dog in JS fast so he dont go to fear the rad :(

Also as loy said, max taunts, all. At least taunt and taunting cry min. With all the +30 ppl arround its quite hard to keep aggro now and mystic/forzaker/elem combo will make mystic do a huge aggro. So far with maxed both taunts and low blow lvl 1 i never lost aggro on a raid, but as lvl cap increase DPS will make more and more dmg, so you may want all maxed.

I also sugest to max all healing skills (skills, no dna) since you may not allways have a radiant on your back.

And whats more important, have fun and enjoy your class. Tanking raids can be quite fun (some more, some less)

Thank you both for your input. One question on Taunt range DNA. Does it affect Taunting Cry's range? Wiki says nothing on it so was wondering.

Only the normal Taunt.
