@Feuer

Not sure if im following this conversation right but ..

Make sure that the items you want to re-place are in the right path.

EXAMPLE:

create a folder: 3DDATA Then a folder inside that: RES then item you want to replace: Item1.dds

Than place the head folder (3DDATA) in a .zip file, Open up the zip file, then go: File /: Save as: your_mod.genfs

Inside the mod.genfs is the file structure of 3ddata/control/res/etc.dds
The structure is correct for what elementa im trying to modify, and the .TGA files i mage changes to, in that same folder are working, but none of the DDS are [the UI is saved as a .DDS image] So therefore I cannot change any of the skins opacity or color/size etc. Since the images are even updating.

and no the image isn't called "etc.dds" thats just because theres about 5 of them I changed.

Okay, I know you're experienced and this is unlikely to be the issue but have you tested the DDS files elsewhere? Just to ensure they're actually saving correctly. I did fiddle with this version of genfs and had no issue with dds files inside the control/res folder at all.

If you can upload the genfs archive somewhere I can take a look and see what might be going wrong.

It appears that avast! Antivirus now reports the posted version of IJL15.dll as malicious (due to modifications made to allow GenesisVFS.dll to be loaded) and moves it to the virus chest automatically (which prevents the game client from running).  Note that this is a false positive, and in the event that you do experience issues, you can add your ROSE folder or IJL15.dll to the scan exception list to prevent it from being removed when loading up the game client.

Super bump on this one. It appears that you can still change DDS files under the RES folder, but anything under XML is noneditable. It doesn't apply in other words. Anything that could be fixed?

the /follow command was a feature of RRE - not of GenPatch.

As far as I know, there is no need to install this. It is now used as the standard launcher these days.

Please note that GenPatch is currently used as the official ROSE Online launcher, which is included with the official game installer by default. It is recommended that you use the official build of the launcher over the unofficial versions of GenPatch.
