Since Knights have a lot of defense, you'll need to equip your character with AP gear (for starters) to get you going through leveling faster (if you're soloing of course). Don't worry about not having enough defense when tanking bosses and other monsters. Sword/shield soldiers will hold out just fine with basic equip.

As for Skills you can check the R.O.S.E Online Compendium Site:
http://rose.kuro-tejina.com/

Skill Calculator as found on forums:
http://forums.warppo...d-sharing-them/

-You can download this program to follow my guide below and or make calculations yourself and make a better skill build!

Stat Calculator as found on forums:
http://forums.warppo...or-version-103/

-You can also download this program which helps you determine how much more STR/CON/DEX or any combination of stats you'll need to balance your character

*Note that this skill build is generally built for more PVP
*RED - Highly Recommend
*BLUE - Don't Recommend
*GREEN - Debatable

Now beginning with the first tab:

Common Tab
Repose,Physical Training, Refreshment, Staminal Training - Recommend getting only maxing Physical Training to save SP.
Weapon Mastery - Max
Double Attack - Max
Soul Wreck - Max
Battle Alertness - Leave at just level one. (PVP purposes against hawkers that stealth/cloak)
Taunt - I don't really use this skill. But for leveling in groups it would be necessary to use to tank a boss.
Power Overflow - Max. Your attack buff.
Defense Training - Max
Soundless Vacuum - Max. Mutes your target for 5 sec; They wont be able to use skills.
Staminal Assist - Max Gives +220HP +18% *Could be substituted for HP Buff Pot which gives 25% HP (Could save you 9 SP)

Total Spent: 63 Skill Points

One-Hand Tab
One-Handed Mastery - Max
Fatal Thrust - Max (Required for future knight skills)
Shield mastery - Max
Shield Stun - Max. can't go wrong with stun!
Durability Assist - A skill that mildly buffs defense of a target (you're party or friends)I don't use this skill either. Usually if you're in a party, you'll have a FS Muse with you (sometimes) and they'll take care of the other buffs.

Total Spent: 95 Skill Points

Knight Tab

Advanced Defense Training - Max
Safe Guard - Max. This skill especially YOU NEED to become the tank that you will be!
Protection - The same as Durability Assist; targets a player for the M-def buff. Not Necessary.
Advanced Shield Mastery - Max. That's right! more defense!
Shield Reflect - Now depending if you want to pvp this skill is a necessity. Reflects 30% at max for 60secs.
Advanced One Hand Mastery - Max
Actual Battle training - Max
Lightening Crasher - Max. This is a stun skill that's too my one of the priorities to survival in pvp and leveling.
Sword Force - Max. A range skill that inflicts a decent amount of damage.

AOES: Area Of Effect's
Impact Wave - Max. Once again highly necessary in pvp's and also mobs. It decreases AP and MSpeed AND a taunt skill. Sounds good to me =]
Swords of Divinity - Now this skill has no real special effects to it. Just one big AOE. But since knight's don't have much damage skills I'd definitely get it.
(However the cool down is extremely long)

Total Spend: 177 Skill Points

*The Remaining 34 Skill Points*

This is where the fun starts
Crossbow Mastery - Max (For an extra +14% Accuracy)
Two-Hand Sword Mastery - Max (For addition 20% accuracy)
Axe Mastery - Lvl 7 (Additional +16% Critical)

STAT BUILD

PVP/WAR
STR: Enough to hold Shield and weapon. 312 STR Minimal Required.
CON: Now this is where it really depends upon the gear you use. CON is really geared to Raiders/Scouts with 4-5k DR. You will need at least 3k Accuracy. Now this is serious because knight skills are just mostly Weapon/Physical skills. It's not like reliable magic skills such as for Mage's that still hit with low Accuracy. If you try with knight skills such as Lightening Crasher. Most-Likely it'll miss but still stun (I think). 250 CON(Lower or Higher depending where your median accuracy should be at)
DEX: Dex gives approx. 0.35 AP. Just added ap in comparison to STR.
SEN: Yes. Crit-Knight. Every remaining stat point should be dumped here.

PVM/FARMING
STR: Max
CON: 220
DEX: Everything else goes here
-I prefer rest into DEX for more AP purposes
-For purely tanking you can just try Max STR, no CON (LoL), and rest DEX. Though I never tried that. Would seem ideal?

HOPE THIS HELPS!! :)

Thx for the guide. I have made a knight for the first time so I'm asking lots of questions to ppl who have them.

Are any of the self buffs such as staminal assist, safe guard, etc., better than a cleric's buffs?

Edit: And do u use diamonds or Pink opals in your jewelry?

I do know that the self def/m-def buff the knight has is better then the cleric's.

As of right now, there seems to be a def "cap" and so getting d[7]s would be better, if you are going to PvP....I do not PvP with my knight yet, so I am not sure just want I think would be better form what I read from time to time....But I do know the def buff is better.

No problem! Well lets see, if you check the Skill Calculator I linked up there ^^ you notice Staminal Assist at LVL 9 gives +220 HP PLUS 18%.

And cleric HP/MP Buff gives 20%

If you really plan on becoming a hardcore pvp knight. I would suggest to start
investing in buff pots. The HP buff pots give 25% (As well as the other ones)

As for safe guard, I would recommend getting this skill. Because it is stronger than cleric buffs and the same as the DEF/MDEF Buff pot.

For accessories. Like all classes you would need a variety of sets:
-Oro PO7 Set
-Lava D7 Junon/Ferrel D7
-Lava M7 Set
-Cliff A7 Set

Those are general sets that most people use but a question for you is what kind of knight do you want to be =]

What about Sacrifice?

Sacrifice is only useful for taunting and luring mobs. So unless you're using the knight for lvling/farming purposes Sacrifice would be ideal =P

For pvp purposes only, don't get sacrifice :P

i think sacrifice is not that bad in pvp... its a nice way to get the atkers away from ur cleric , that the cleric have a short moment to heal/run or whatever.

and u can use it if the crystal is under atack.. there are everytime some enemys dont notice whats going on. so.. us e sacrifice and run away from crystal...

so some atacker will follow u = less atker at crystal (only for short time.. but its a chance ) = a better chance to get the crystal back on defenders hands^^

so.. do it with 3 knights ..one after one... u will see a nice effect from sacrifice

Well the thing with sacrifice is, it only taunts and lures Monsters only XD. But I do see people sacrifice the crystal in union wars. Pretty funny haha.

And I guess it works?

So what happend with SEN adding here? I had in Sevenhearts long ago. Strength to hold shield. Con around 150 @ 200 and rest in SEN and some INT for selfbuffing.

I keep on reading all the topics but still can't find anything wich helps me. What I learned is that I probally should give up knight and go Champ here.

Yea, I can see where you're coming from. I played SevenHearts as well. And if I can remember SEN/CRIT we're portrayed significantly effective in that rose. I will
tell you that SEN/CRIT still applies and is most-commonly used in builds nowadays in this rose. Same principles still apply (such as INT for better self-buffing)
but you'll notice a difference from Sevenhearts and this ROSE.

And as for you possibly quitting knight. DON'T GIVE UP. There's seriously way too many champs for my taste in this game, but I don't blame them cause they're OP. Knight's
are honestly under-powered and don't represent what they were defined to be.

Your characters base stats don't mean that much, it's your total stats that will matter. For example, aiming for 3k+ accuracy has more meaning than aiming for 180 con.
