Still stretched ._.;

I often think... teh Image Scale should be optional when teh avatar resolution fulfills teh restriction, and forced stretched otherwise

yes my Avatar should look like this

Spoiler

if you managed to leave your avatar unstretched, enlighten me plz :(

You can try removing the Avatar, then re-adding it to see if that helps.

Just let it be and eventually the forum will show it correctly.

How long does it usually take these to unstretch? :wah: I dunno why the forum system even has stretching as a feature; can't think of any use for it.

Usually a few days. Refreshing sometimes helps.

It's not so much a feature as something glitchy in the forum script forcing all avatars to stretch to the maximum specifications.

I'm not quite sure what you all are doing wrong (if anything at all) but all I do is upload my avatars to my photobucket and link them and save. They're never stretched. I don't really remember but the first one may have been and I fixed it within a minute.

I did the exact same thing and it was stretched, so I took it off. No idea why it only happens to some of us.

Edit: Just to add to it, I get a rather "long" loading time before the forum accepts (and stretches) my avatar when I try to use one.

It seems the problem is more prevalent with people who use PNG or GIF formats rather than JPG. It's got to have something to do with the forums itself because some people's avatars straighten themselves out eventually while others still have the problem. Something's causing it to auto-resize avatars to the max dimensions.

EDIT: Just thought of something. Have you guys tried modifying your avatars through different browsers?

i'm not sure if you did something else, but if i'm not wrong, Ahina, Serakano and Miyuki avatars are photobucket links, so i'm not sure if that's teh cause *hmm* (sorry if i missed others)

also i had to add transparent space to my avatar to make it... at least look fine (if not OMFG WHAT AN AVATAR!!!)

EDIT: if i suspect an avatar is stretched, i do right click, Properties, copy teh direct link, open a new tab, and i see teh unstretched image

Well the transparent space is the reason yours is working fine for you.

Also, I reuploaded with photobucket because you said it worked better. I usually use tinypic.

Have nothing to do with the file format I think. Mine's a JPG. Haven't tried the "other browsers" method though. For reference, I uses Chrome.

Didn't say that JPGs weren't affected, just that it doesn't run into the problem as often as the other formats.

But yeah, try different browsers and see what happens.
