I heard that decarding carded gears will be possible soon (correct me if im wrong). Its a good thing and im excited about it, but im wondering if this will affect the market.
If it will, how bad or good you think it will be?

Explain

Maybe it'll create a rush of newly uncarded cards/ gears. This new supply will make price crash as there probably isn't more demand than before the decarder.

While a market crash is good for buyers, it's not the buyers who declare if the effect is good or bad, but the venders. For them a crash on some items would be horrible.

hmm maybe yeah, market will go down, you can buy lots of decard item to decard your GR card(for example) and switch it to diff armors during WOE :P
if this can happen, it will be (more) hard to sell gears :glomp:
the word is IF

The only way this sort of thing could work, Is if on decarding of items Cards are destroyed permanently no buts. like people have said market would be flooded most likly with cards, upgraded items are always onsale no differance there.

But even Better slotting cards over the top of other cards. existing card is lost, gone, destroyed. New card now exists on item.

Have you ever seen an item and gone why the hell did they put that card on it?

decarding will have a similar effect on the economy to the safe to 7 certs; eliminating the need for acquiring multiples of rare items.

Yeah, a chance to fail at decarding.
Though the process goes like this..

Decard NPC asks you to choose what item you want saved.. the armour or the card?
If the decarding fails, the other is destroyed while the other you want saved is saved.

IT ain't bad in my opinion. As it goes. This game has been running for what? 8 years? and still there are cards that are limited to the number of 3 or some carda aren't even yet dropped.
Besides, it is renewal already. More and more good gears are coming and overwriting those old gears such as a "Mocking Muffler" or "Odin's Blessing" with Hatii card.

Also, to add. The KP (Yes Kafra Point) Item for decarding is called "Lubricant Oil" or "Oil" or something like that.
The information was given 2 years ago with full descriptions and pictures. I just can't seem to find it now to prove.

its better to have this conversation before the release, rather than having it then multiple complains and late great ideas later

back to topic,
if your armor breaks, you will still keep the card?good or bad?

so, if you want to put your GR card(for example) on an adventure suit or what ever low class armor, it wouldnt matter/hurt as long as you have KP right?
well that would hurt the economy.

Decarding will be possible with introduction of Malangdo Island - the Cat Hand HQ. However it will be expensive as hell, as it will require you to aquire large amounts of Scindapsus seeds and it will be most expensive item to aquire in Malangdo enchant coins system.

In what way? Spending your real life money? I don't think so.

Edit: Ragnarok isn't paradise and it ain't Communism here. Though what differs here and in real life in terms of Uber-richness and Poverty is that
everybody has their own choice; to spend or not to spend. If they want to put a card on a puny armour and decard it back by spending a living. Its their own matter of choice.
It won't hurt anyone either way and the house will win still in both sides.

The decard NPC should have the opening sentence: "Hello my friend, stay a while and listen." :P

It doesnt matter if you disagree or not, its coming. likely similar style to the (non-kafra) stat or socket enchanting. Theres at least two different decard lubricants, and there are gear exclusions as well (I think weapons are excluded someone said, and probably mid-headgears as kRO doesnt have billions of them).

(im against decarding as an ingame option, but think its ok for 'event' things like we've had in the past, 2 iirc).

I don't see how it's a bad thing. It's usually still cheaper and easier to get a brand new card or item than it is to try to decard something. If anything it'll give vets with expensive cards in crappy gears a reason to buy updated gears. It's not exactly game breaking, enriched hammer and safe to 7 certs had more of an impact than the decarder will.

Do you know what the heck are you saying? You can't disagree on this Decarding service because kRO has already planned that about 2 or 1 year ago!

Put your equipment, a Hel rune, and a Scroll of Town Portal into the Hoardic Cube. Hit transmute. Your cards are now removed from your equipment, but the cards compounded are destroyed.
