It would have been nice to have known about this with the rest of the maintenance patch information we were given that had been done. That way most of us & myself would have had the opportunity to know this existed & how long it was going to be there before it had already come & gone.

This wan't put in any location that is normally visited by users that would have level 3 & 4 weapons not to mention how ofter does anyone even go to get eden equip period.

Oda, I really think you should consider adding this again except this time letting us all know in advance that it has been & telling us specifically when it will be removed also. Using the website updates link for information like this & other stuff that has been done or is going on helps too. I'm not sure why that is used so little or why the maintenance information is put in so long after things have been done instead of prior to them being done.

A day and a half simply isn't long enough for such an important event. A normal person who works all day and just didn't happen to logon Wednesday night gets completely screwed. An event that important should least a full week to give everybody a chance to utilize it.

I'll say one thing. It's stupid that it would take cotton shirts & such but only take Level 3 & 4 Weapons. If it's going to take Cotton Shirts it may as well take Knives & Daggers too. They are all on the same level. I can't believe they were letting you get Certs for a Cotton Shirt that's worthless & easy to upgrade to +7.

As far as those complaining about being able to get the Certs & it bringing down the prices of them. All it did was start to bring the prices back to what they should be & used to be. The only reason they went up was due to the Heroic Backpack & the new Hats that came from the Lucky boxes. We needed more Certs in the market in order for them to sell at a fair market value once again instead of being more then doubled & over priced.

the reason it only takes certain levels of weapons is because ALL armor = safe to +4, and NOT all weapons break after +4

The purpose of the NPC for now was a test to get a nice data set for exchange rates and popular items that are traded. Its also to help assign future value to drops that would other wise not vend normally such as default MVP drops like the way Merry Badger works.

cotton shirt safety is 4 unsafe5 unsafe 6 unsafe 7 etc

lvl3weapon safe 4 safe 5 unsafe 6 unsafe 7 etc

you have much much more of a chance to get a weapon to 6 or 7 than a peice of armor or headgear
besides lvl 3 weapons cost about 20,000 from an NPC thats like 1/2 of 1 elunium
AND your mastersmith made it easier.. you cant mastersmith upgrade a cotton shirt

Most people aren't a mastersmith & cotton shirts cost practically nothing. They are dropped so much at an early level it isn't even funny. You constantly see people drop them just to clear space

Was there a purpose to not telling anyone that the NPC was there so that more of us had the opportunity to use this before it was gone? At least MetalFox was at nice enough to have posted this. I thought that was the purpose of patch updates.

Easter Eggs are bundled with DVD/BD and they don't tell you about them. I don't know why it was said but things like this have happened in the past.

Can I make a wish for 1. April day Event?

I would like to have a Map which is only accessable via an quest that is trolling you wherever it can and is hard as hell.
Once you are in that special room, there a Monster that look like GM's (F.e. the GM NPC and the GM Sprite Mercenaries) with nice names.

If you kill them, they drop Old BlEU Box and other trololol stuff
Pls?

I hope this is false, because most likely the data you could obtain in the initial rush of people trying to vend certs asap before other people realized about the npc, people trying to sell their items thinking cotton shirts are worth the same as mvp drops now, people trying to overcharge elu and ori price all the way up before demand and supply find the sweet spot price again, etc... were all just that, rush prices. Not a good indication of how would exchange rates would really be.

Just like how sometimes the first times a new lucky box item comes out and sometimes starts selling for 99million and a week or two later ends being sold at 10million, or vice-versa, sometimes an item starts selling cheap and ends vending at several times its initial price. You can't really obtain useful data based on a few hours unannounced 'event' like this one.

i dunno that seemed like a pretty good assessment.. although unlike Lucky Boxes where the only usefull items were the desocketing book heroic backpack and the medals (for the most part

what would have likely happen with the certs is that once people got wind of it the price of Certs would go down, people would buyout all the Elu/Ori evaporating the surplus of it overnight raising the price of elu and ori to astronomical proportions and reducing the price of the highly overpriced Diabolus Valkyian Nyddhorg, etc gear. While at the same time making HD ELU and HD ORI boxes skyrocket (enriched when the hammer returns) by this time a small but steady supply of newly farming ori/elu would start streaming in reducing the price while still remaining a bit high, but not nearly to the levels that they were when the NPC first came out

There would be a LOT more demand for +7 and +9 gear and some +10 and +11 gear might finally start showing up
It still takes a LOT of Elu and a LOT of Ori to get to +7 or +8... and at +6 they're not guaranteed to get a cert.. The markets would eventually ease up there would be a big deflation in base Gear across the board with a stable if not increased value for over upgraded gear

the main people who would suffer are the people who have been monopolizing the sale of certs
with the summoner gone and without the Mimic NPC... The Spawns will become much more aggressively camped and the price Bloody Branches and of gear and certs will starts to rise further increasing the monopoly of the few..
More people will start creating Dozens of dummy accounts for the sole purpose of mass accumulating stockpiles of BB's and Orc Dungeon 2 will never be safe again Its just a matter of time..

unless the mimic comes back and stays

They should make it not accept gears sold by npc so that normal equips that no one buys will have a market of like 100k~200k. Gives an income to player who hand train

I don't think the scripting language has an identifier to check if something has a card slot, so it sounds tedious, but they should just program in all items by ID to be accepted, using the 'rare' version (extra slot version) of weapons/armor.
