Most mvps have very high mdef. Magic is utter trash against them.

I'd go for gene, much more diverse in their killing range. They can kill everything from low tier to awesome tier. The only downside is not being able to kill things like Bapho because of their low VIT and not being able to kill ghost. Sura is still good, but the higher tier MvPs are not as easily solo'd by them.

Oh they can still kill Bapho easy. It's just they're not as good and fast as Suras when considering the MVP's Vit.I'd go for gene, much more diverse in their killing range. I'd say Genetic adding in the Homunculus S. With their skills (specifically painkiller and pyroclastic), adding damage or simply reducing it and having endure. Any kind of skill that gives u an MVP card eff, is kinda boss in my book.

I was under the impression you were talking about ghost MVP's in general. There was a time when you made a post stating Chain Lightning would be a viable option for killing Beelz after all. I'd love to see you out DPS a DB RK on Magic Strings when the MVP has mobs up though. Chain Lightning isn't a skill that targets the same monster over and over again when there's a mob. It jumps around. You'd have to kill the mob first before using Chain Lightning on the MVP.
It's about an average of 2 DB's per second on a decent RK in Magic Strings. That's at least 40k per second on an average geared RK with no mob restrictions.

well lets trow in some wood in the fire :-P first locks cl is nly effective if there is a mob, if no mob max hit = 3 if mob 9-12 cant remember exact num, but it also increases the dmg n every bounce and i think you can read up to 3-4, so release 3-4 + cast on its fast cast time, also nobody has tryed gx for mvp?, after balance patch im not so sure that genes are still the best dps... jur[3] whit 3 AK cards not much else of good equips on sackray managed me to do 20-30k rolling cutters on mvps and near 120k cross riper slashers, althought thats whit edp, and crs is stupid. Ill explain, in the time you cast 1 crs you can cast 3-6 rolling cutters, so at the end more dmg just using rolling cutter.

I have both Sura and Genetic, and I must say that my Gen is my primary character for MVPing. Its personal preference of course, but I just find gen to be more enjoyable, both in the leveling aspect and the MVPing as well.
Now for everyones argument that Sura is more economical. I must make the counter argument that bomb materials do not cost all that much. If you have an MVP build as a gen then you also have half a potter build. you can make roughly 250 bombs on about 4-5M even if your not a pure brewer. Now I don't know about you guys but I can kill a fair amount of MVPs with 250 bombs. Now take into account that most MVPs drop a ygg berry and/or an OPB. Take Gopinch for example, he drops Ygg Berry, OPB, and Treasure Box. If you sell all 3 of these items (yes he may not drop them all in one go) you can make 1M. That one mil easily covers the cost of the bombs that you used to kill him. This is of course assuming that your buying your bomb materials, who said you had to buy them? I myself hunt my materials and while it is boring and monotonous, it really doesn't take to terribly long (ok fine that may be a lie). Seriously though if you do it once a week you're generally set for that week.
Now as far as which is better, more economical, ect. My vote goes towards gen (if you didn't already see that coming). As already stated a decently geared gen can out DPS a sura. Now people have been making the argument that a godly equipped sura wins hands down, and I must say, you're right. However I'm assuming that the OP doesn't have access to these items seeming he wants to MVP to make a lil extra cash. Also note that while the argument was made that Suras can tank better than gens this is also true. Anyway, hope all this info helps, and above all else you should pick a class that you enjoy and you have the most fun from.

This post is completely wrong. DB RKs are by far the top DPS on any ghost MvP.
warlocks( cl negligible cool down)>WW Rangers (over 60k with lex and arrow storm cool down)>( less db damage with cool down)RK in terms of sheer dps

I am the one who asked about the Ghost Type so I can make a character in ADVANCE instead of making just one character and suck my thumb like a numb nut and go, "thai sa dis bsterst mvp clas evr y no wrk?"
I highly doubt I will bother with God or Tao card for a while but that is why you ask in, yes you guest it by now, ADVANCE
