I've been gone from the game for quite a while, noticed that my skills and DNA have been reset in my absence.

I have a level 62 Commander that I'm not sure what to do with, this was my old build:

Commander Build
Level 79
PvP - Sword user

Defender:
1 Fighting Will
4 Quick Attack
10 Shield Strike
1 Physical Blessing
10 Survival Instinct
10 Skin of Stone

Commander:
1 Chain Slash
7 Boomerang of Sword Aura
1 Beam Slash
7 Moonlight Slash
4 Rush
1 Promise of Victory
10 One-Handed Weapon Mastery
10 Chain of Restraint
10 Adamant Mind
7 Face Strike

DNA:
5 Strengthened Skin of Stone
5 Strengthened Survival Instinct
5 Potens Rush
5 Strengthened One Hand Mastery
5 Extend Face Strike

I also have a level 49 Templar that I used for FOC. It will be a tempest when it is finished getting gear for my commander and itself. I do not know the old build for it, but preferably a PVP Tempest build would be ideal.

Any advice on how to rebuild these characters would be appreciated.

chain of restraint goes up to lvl 5 only.

build looks good, you will have 5 more points to use somewhere else.

also most dnas cna be taken up to lvl 10, but idk which ones are most usefull since i dont play commie myself

as for pvp tempest, if you are taking about end game something like this:

elec bolt - 10
charged bolt - 10
holy bolt - 5
rejuvanation - 1
lesser heal - 10
sleep - 10
lighting restraint - 10
glaring light - 1
holy light - 7
magic weapon mastery - 10
magic mastery elec - 7

this will leave you with 13 skill points, which you can use to either, get divine protection - 10 for more defense, curse passive resistance - 10 for easy curse cap, or maxing glaring light, but it has small radius and only 4 targets.

also 1 or 2 points soul depuration is usefull and maybe lvl 1 in weapon of god so melees will like you more :)

There was actually a debate I had in-game with someone about Chain of Restraint, because everything seemed to imply that it only went up to level 5, but he insisted that it went up to level 10. Being that he was quite higher level than I was, I had to believe him.
That may have been about one of the DNAs though.

The build was made with a skill calc, and it is a build at 79, so let me see...

It comes out to 94 skill points, 89 if adjusted for CoR. How many should I have?

Maybe Sera's just more concerned with a Commander build... But im sure the tempest build will help too.

I have a lvl 71 commander and chain of restraint is maxed at lvl 5 and it cannot go higher. The calculator you used is not reflecting s2 commander skills properly.

that build is ok but op wanted pvp build.

for pvp no more than lvl 1 taunting cry, not gonna unstealth many anyway.

and since op said sword user, lvl 4 qa is enough too.

It is a build for pvp. And read what floormatt says in the description of taunting cry.

Commander Build
Level 79
PvP - Sword user

Defender:
1 Fighting Will
4 Quick Attack
10 Shield Strike
1 Physical Blessing
10 Survival Instinct
10 Skin of Stone

Quick attack, at the max you need to cap the attack speed, if with 4 is enoug, then ok.
Shield Strike lvl 5: lvl 5 is enough, i almost dont miss with that, and if i miss is only because they are too high lvl.

Survival Instinct and Skin of Stone maxed. The problem comes with the dna, the new dnas are lvl 10, and you cant put both at max (or can but then you cant put the points in other interesting things). At lvl 6 both dnas make a jump, so, lvl 6 would be the magic number here. Even if Skin of stone dna give more short defense, it dont give long range defense, that i found more needed in pvp, pluss, skin of stone can be socker kicked. Try to check the numbers and decide: for me lvl 6 in survival instinct dna, and 1 (or 0) in skin of stone dna.

Commander:
1 Chain Slash
7 Boomerang of Sword Aura
1 Beam Slash
7 Moonlight Slash
4 Rush
1 Promise of Victory
10 One-Handed Weapon Mastery
10 Chain of Restraint
10 Adamant Mind
7 Face Strike

As other said, Chain of Restraint only go up to 5 lvls.
Potens Rush: dont know wich would be a good lvl, tbh each point rest only 1 sec (or not? dont remember) Cant tell you how much to put here, i guess that you can find that in combat. I dont abuse too much of rush, because of the bug that make you fly. Some times a well placed Chain of Restraint make the trick. But 5 points looks ok.
Strenghtened One Handed Mastery: i dont remember the numbers but maybe you want that one at max lvl.
Extended Face Strike is a good one, it worth the points, 5 could be fine.

If you go for rush dna at lvl 5 and put the others as i said, the points wont be enough, that is why maybe rush dna at lvl 4 would be the best.

I don't care what floor mate says taunting cry is as useless in pvp as prots are so leave it off if going pure pvp as you cannot pull a sin from stealth outside of battle field nor will you find many instances where you succeed in doing so within them. So in my opinion its a wasted skill point in taunting cry where you may get lucky and pull a sin 1 out of 10 battlefields. Leave the sins to elementalists that can use a far better skill in dealing with the cloaked ones. Otherwise you're just out there spamming that useless skill hoping a sin was dumb enough to walk by you as you do this.

Well, still can be used in strongest to pull the aggro from a friendly player.

Screw pulling strongest mobs off a friendly let em die as no healer in their right mind will help heal you while you try fighting other players and tank stupid mobs because when you die, and you will, the mobs will aggro the healer. Let prots handle mobs as its not your job to keep squishy toons from dying anymore being a commander you mostly grind alone you mostly kill alone. Commanders aren't your heroic prots.

Well, is up to the player to pick if he/she want to be selfish or a team player: teams always beat individualities. And if a radiant dont want to heal, then it should pick another job, because he/she dont know how to use their character.

Yes, the information was helpful. I was out of town, so sorry for the delayed response.
Not terribly concerned with the templar/tempest build, as I just use it for rolling around in FOC.

I don't really understand all of what nadesh is saying, but last I played, attack speed was capped at like 1.0 or something like that, dunno if it still is, and the level 4 quicken would give 1.0 attack speed when using a sword with the FOC gloves.

Unless they changed the cooldown time after using rush, I found that it sucks in PvP from my last time playing the character.

But, thank you all for the input, was helpful.
