Did we really need that OCA NPC seller? Most cards are obtainable through the card NPCs already, so you could have just added the mini bosses card there as well. Now people will sit by it in waste their time instead of actually testing things.

Here's a list of useful things you could have added but you didn't:
-3rd job items seller NPC(IE: Items that are required for changing to 3rd job and items required for 3rd job skills) You're making it difficult to test certain skills.
-Required items for current skills(IE: Acid Bomb, EDPs, etc) We want to test how those skills change in renewal

-Battle Ground Item Seller, so we test how BG items change post Renewal
-Kafra Items seller, so we can test how food changes post renewal and test Kafra mall headgears
-Popular headgear seller(IE: Crown of Deceit, Moon Rabbit Hat, Dress Hat, Red Wing Hat), so we test how renewal affects them
-Hugel Medal seller, so we test how leveling through hugel medals change post renewal.

OCA NPC was there on kRO' test server i think.

But yeah... We need kafra consumables, BG items, and skill-use supplies (biochem/genetic ammo to test those skills, and genetic crafting supplies so we can test the new crafting skills, EDP and GX poisons for GX's and so on)

It's really sad that we're not being given the resources we need for testing.

I played on kRO Renewal and there wasn't one there, but they did have the 3rd job item seller npc, which we are missing.

Wait a second...why did they implement an OCA NPC in the first place when no one had any money to spend on it? HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?

The GM walked a line handing out zeny to everyone. There was zeny, just not everyone got the chance to get some.

As a Genetic... I'm kinda stuck. How am I supposed to use my skills without catalysts to cast them?

Also going to second ralphiz. It would be neat to test out the new Genetic Special Pharmacy skill and potting rates... Can we get an NPC to sell the component items so I can see if I can get away with changing my Alchemist directly into a Genetic or if transing another Alchemist would be a better idea in the long run.

I'd hunt my own items but... Drop Penalty and all. Or you could use remove that, as it makes zero sense for iRO. See Sticky thread for more on that.

We pretty much require a "Crafting items" NPC so we can actually test our classes. Elemental stones are very hard to find, especially with the drop rate penalty; how are sorcerer classes supposed to test their skills?

Well I did find a npc for mechanic tho in reacheal where you find the tool shop. The npc "black market" is right next to the tool shop npc. Maybe other classes npc seller might be around somewhere too?

List the items you need sold directly.

The OCA seller was a default NPC. We are taking NPCs away and implementing others depending upon what we are trying to get you to focus test. We assume things that are made easier will get more people doing things with them. You don't need to test the specific headgears, their effects are what they are and will not be updated by the test session.

If you are trying to test out your build, you are not adding to what the test session is about, and I don't see the purpose in taking the few hours out of our fix it schedule to make NPCs that don't help us get stuff tested. If you are trying to test the class to find bugs that is fine and good.

Isn't playing as we normally would the best way to find bugs, as we know what to expect from the overall build and feel? You know, using various gears, testing various stat builds and how they affect this and that and seeing if it holds true to the new mechanics.

I don't mean to come off like I'm constantly trying to contradict you but how else are we supposed to play? We weren't exactly given an itinerary on how to go about testing.

Anyway, I'll go pull up a list of the new Genetic skills and what catalysts are needed for them and I'll post those for you. Because as things are now, I can't use the majority of my skills.

Acid Bottles
Bottle Grenades
Plant Bottles
Poison Bottle

Apple Bomb
Coconut Bomb
Melon Bomb
Pineapple Bomb
Banana Bomb

Black Lump
Hard Black Lump
Extremely Hard Black Lump
Mysterious Powder
Throwing Boost50
Throwing Full Swing K
Throwing Manaplus
Throwing Cure Free
Throwing Muramura M
Throwing Falmons F
Throwing Increase HP Potion (Small)
Throwing Increase HP Potion (Medium)
Throwing Increase HP Potion (Large)
Throwing Increase SP Potion (Small)
Throwing Increase SP Potion (Medium)
Throwing Increase SP Potion (Large)
Throwing Vitata500
Throwing Vitata500
Throwing Savage Full Roast
Throwing -_-tail Warg Blood
Throwing Minor Stew
Throwing Siroma Iced Tea
Throwing Drosera Herb Salad
Throwing Petite Tail Soup
Throwing Black Mass

Or, just give us the components to make all that (or at least a fair bit of it, I admit it's a lot and isn't all required but to be thorough I think we'd all prefer to see it all). I noticed you can purchase the new guide books at the Alchemist guild and I'd like to be able to test out potion success rates on a Genetic who went Biochemist as opposed to a Genetic who job changed as an Alchemist. Or just try to create the new items in general.

Edit: LOL Can't say c0cktail.

NPCs exists for most of the 3rd class material components, around the fountain and up the N/S main street.

Tomorrow we will update the seller with whatever isn't available.

I have given itinerary for what we are testing. Currently we are looking for bugs regarding the classes, and job change. The job change is our focus through Thursday, then the skills become our focus.

After that we will go to the new phase where we review monster placements (I know there are some WTF monsters in some dungeons and job quests), assume a monster that is more than 15 levels out of range for that map is likely not fully intended.

I see the cat selling elemental stones (minus Red Bloods, why?), the NPC for Mado Gear, the Rune seller... Nothing for Guillotine or Genetic, that I have seen. Perhaps I missed them.

Did you check the Wizard job change area? The new Genetic Manuals were in the Alchemist guild so it may be the same for Warlocks.

The main GX poison ingredients are sold in the Lighthalzen Department Store, the other stuff is probably limited to monster drops til they implement a special npc.

On that note, I would love for an npc that sold:

-Elder Branch
-Light Granule
-Burning Heart
-Blue Hair
-Desert Wolf Claw
-Tangled Chains
-Dragon Canine
-Round Shell
-Dragon Skin
-Ogre's Tooth
-Honey
-Horrendous Hair
-Red Gemstone
-Destroyed Armor
-Worn-out Scroll
-Armor Piece of Dullahan

That should cover all the Rune Crafting materials.

We want to test how those skills change in renewal

As far as I know...it's all about testing if everything works like it should work in Renewal......not how your future have to be build and lvled -_-

But they kinda go hand in hand. Sure we want to test builds, but at the same time, it's testing if things are working properly. For example
-"Is Acid Bomb taking the correct atk and matk formulas for its damage? Do +%dmg cards properly affect AB like it should?"
-"Does EDP have the correct damage modifier of 400% damage, while making certain skills have half their modifiers when EDP is active?"
-"What's the base casting time of [skill]? Does the dex+int/2 casting time formula apply properly on said [skill]?"
-"Does [stat] properly give you resistance to or shortened duration from [status effect]?"

and the list goes on. With these stuff, it's only proper that we use multiple stat resets and "test builds" to see if they work.
