1-71 Mage/Wiz in Speed Leveling

MAGE/WIZARD LEVELING GUIDE FOR 1-71 in 4 hours
Well so I spent alittle money for the cash show spring boxes and i tryed to see how fast i could level without ever knowing how to play a mage which sucked. I pumped my int stat to 99 then started putting it in dex for now. I am a VIP account so it helps. Items needed 300% exp scrolls and Lvl 10 Fencer Mercenary Scrolls with about alot of white potions. REMINDER: This is my a guide to how I leveled and how I was succesful. If you would like to cotinue the guide past lvl 71 please feel free to tell me your ideas and they may or may not be added. If it does you will get credit for your input. Please try to keep it along the line of what I did where you dont mind using the 300% exp and fencers. This is for speed leveling purposes only. After that all into int til 99 then 60 dex 60 Luck (This is so you do alot of dmg when levleing.)

Starter Area (1-12)
Talk to all the NPC's like usual before you start killing stuff. After that I did the quests in this order cause it was easiest. Merch Sword Thief then Mage. By the time you finish with these quests you will be 12/10. You are ready to become a mage.

Mage Job Change (12-15)
Right after you turn into a mage talk to the NPC right outside of the building she will give you one free job lvl which i used to get fire bolt. After that I went right outside the North entrance of Geffen and killed the Mand (similar to hydra) so try to stay far enough away and you can kill them with one fire bolt with your begginer items. I killed these to get lvl 5 of Ice and Fire bolt.

Firebolt 1 / Mand's

First Eden Quest (15-16)
I had the one send me to the desert pretty easy to do. Kill 10 Condors and turn in, 10 Kill Baby Desert Wolves and turn in. Then Kill 5 Scopions and turn in. Then return to eden to get your items.

Firebolt 2 / Condors, Baby Desert Wolves, and Scorpions

Second Quest Board (16-26)
I went and did multiple quests and the way I did it was I got almost all the eden quests from Prontera which were if I remember correctlly (Hornet, Rocker, Spore, Worm Tail) Killed all of them then used a 300% when i went back to eden right before turning them back in then while the 300% was still active I went and did them again. So in the end you get 2 turn ins and alot of exp from killing. If you lvl faster than that move to next step.

Firebolt 3 / Hornet, Rocker, Spore, and Worm Tail

Second Eden Quest (26-27)
I got the payon cave quest which was kill 15 skeletons then 10 PoPorings. Be max distance on skeletons the detect your cast and will hit you and interupt your spell (Very annoying). After that go back and get your upgrades.

Firebolt = 3 / Skeletons
Firebolt = 4 / PoPorings

Greatest Generals (28-35) / 300% exp scroll
Ok so this was a little tricky but I managed. BE VERY CAREFUL stay max range the hit for alot cause they can cast if your not max range. Everytime i got hit by it it took me from 100% to 5% hp.

Ice Bolt = 8-10 / Greatest Generals

Third Quest Board (35-41) / 1 Fencer + 300% exp scroll
I did the Poison Spores and Smokies twice which is two maps North of Geffen the East one and they are everywhere. I used 300% as soon as i got to the map. By this time I had white potions. if you cant do whites use a lower one. I also had my fencer gather them up and bowling bash. And I was able to do these quests twice.

Bowling Bash / Poison Spores
Firebolt = 4-5 / Smokies

Third Eden Quest (41-44) / 1 Fencer
I got the one for Orc Dun lvl 1. Which was to kill Orc 20 Orc Zombies then 20 Orc Skeletions by now you should have fire wall at a decent lvl if not already maxed. I used fly wings to get into the middle of alot of the zombies and firewalled around me and as sson as they got to me I used the lvl 10 fencer to bowling bash i did this twice and was able to turn in the First part. Then I did same for abit and got the Orc Skeleton one done. Other options for the skeletons go to lvl 2 and and attack them with your fencer there is alot here and if you firewall you might get a swarm of zenrocs to run to it and attack you because they just wanted the loot from the monster you killed. After all that go turn in for your upgrades.

Bowling Bash / Orc Zombies, Orc Skeletons
Firewall = 1-5 / Crowd Control

Forth Eden Quest Board (44-56) / 1 Fencer
Grab the quests Orc Skeletons and Zenorcs and go back to Orc Dun go to lvl two and spawn firewall and go to town. Bowling Bash Spam your fencer and GG go turn it in I did this twice.

Bowling Bash / Orc Skeletons, Zenorcs
Firewall = 1-10 / Crowd Control

Fifth Quest Board (57-62)
I turned in the Maneaters at Normal experiance rate to get my Job lvl to 50 so i can job change.

Maneaters / Usually is being sold for 1,000z

Job change to Wizard
Top floor of Geffen Tower and commence tests. You will be assked to take a test of ten Q/A, then ater you will be required to kill with three different elements (Lightning,Fire,Ice is the order for your spells.) You can usse what ever but your times so use the proper abilities. GG your a wizard when you talk to the NPC after the Gloomy NPC.

Common Sense, and Google

Fifth Quest Board (62-71) / 300% exp
Keep turning in them Maneaters. Thats it.

Maneaters / Usually is being sold for 1,000z

This guide was for you to get to wizard and a little after. If anyone can tell me what they did for there after post it and ill edit this post. But try to keep it along the line of what I did where you dont mind using the 300% exp and fencers. This is for speed leveling purposes.

Not sure this will help many ppl but good idea posting it.

For myself I would much rather save those BMX3's for when your a High Wiz or WarLock (Scholar/Sorc as well) as they cost around 5m each on Valk server and usually I prefer to save the zenny for better gears. Plus lvl's 1-70 are usually pretty quick anyway without them as well.

Ah well good guide for those who can afford it. And on that note as well for 91-99 lvling doing the eden sign board for ALL 16 quests and then turning it in with a BMX3 as well gives MASSIVE JOB exp as well. Each quest gives ~100k Base and 300k Job experience so multiply that by 16 of them and then multiply that by 3 for the BMX3 and your looking at like 4.8m Base and 14.4m Job exp which is SO sweet.

oh nice i will have to try that i took a break last night and lvled my ninja i wanted to upgrade me +7 Trip Hurr Glad for him and it ended up staaying at +7 with alll the HD oridicon i wasted could have been around 50 mil worth oh and i broke my ice pick for my sinx. I am still butt hurt about that. The point in all this is that ya I might have to stop doing the BMX3's til i get high enough where it would help the most. Thanks man

Just want to say, since this guide assumes the player isnt VIP. You can get to level 75 in under 2 hours(1 hour if your on constant battle manual) at overlook dungeon wtih lightning bolt and a leveling partner.

No reason you couldn't use BMX3's + Overlook dungeon together.

In a way it's a great idea since it's easier to gear for fighting down their.


I actually went through there a couple times with freshly minted Sins just to get Phen cards and Nile Rose's to sell. Used a nice +7 Tripple Saharic Gladius as main hand weapon added with Wind Endow I just zipped through there.

I get from 10/1 to 30/20+ to 57/50 in about an hour. Do Spores/Wormtails (and their Eden quests) WITH BMx3 on. I advise you to pop the BMx3 around Base 24-25 and micro the Fencer to kill stuff while your own character kills stuff. It's ridiculously fast. Once you're B30, rush to Overlook with Stone Fling accessory (Stapo Card), mob the hell out Planktons/Marinas, Bowling Bash em with Fencer. 57/50 or higher guaranteed before your BMx3 runs out. If you got lucky with big mobs and hit Base 56 with time to spare on the BMx3, rush to Eden and turn in the Maneaters. Get to Base 71 and then go change to a Smith. That's what I usually do. Haha. Fun.

P.S. Would help to get the Stones ready before setting off so you don't waste time finding Stones while on BMx3.

I know a few people who used mercenaries with manual on magmarings and got 17~56 in half hour too.

Not sure if the fencer 10 or the lancer 10.
