Since I somehow managed to cause an uprising in patch notes v.405, and now a lot of people said knights need a boost in points (even though I never meant it that way) I'll write a few tips as to how you can score a decent sum of points. They don't need a boost, you just need to play VERY good.
Note: This works for other classes that have a hard time dealing damage to get points as well.

1) Don't attack a soldier type unit unless necessary! Face it, knights have lowest existant damage output according to their masteries, and attacking the ones with highest defence won't help you with doing damage either. Unless you use an attack power/critical build, with which you can take down most of the defence the champion/other knight has, it is a very stupid idea to even bother.

2) Stay near the crystal. It was said when the game arena first came out, you get extra points for killing near the crystal (both attacker and defender). Persuade your team to always stay near it, it will be beneficial for both you and the rest of the team.

3) Attack targets that already are under heavy fire (easier for crossbow knights). Some may find this lame, but since your points are also based on the kills you get within crystals vicinity, it is highly advised not to pay attention to the amount of damage you deal (you won't hit a lot anyway), you just have to be able to strike the killing blows.

4) When you are attacker, hit the crystal for sure. You get points for the damage you do on it, and you usually hit a lot more on the crystal than on other players. Also, you get points for killing the crystal yourself (linked to 3), last hitter concept). If you weren't the one to take down the crystal, but you were still near, you still get a fair sum of points for being nearby while it gets destroyed.

Also, be sure to experiment on what set to use. Sometimes you'll get low points, sometimes high, don't be disappointed when you get only 20. But just fight for a while using one set, do a match or ten with it, use another set and try again. See what works out for you the best.
Knights are a good class, you just have to play them well.

Guide to play against a knight and other class in Crystal defenders

1. Avoid soloing knight at all cost
>No matter what class you are no matter what built, you will think twice in hitting this DISTRACTOR (Knights thats what I call them). Know your enemy and focus your aim. To get 100ish points focus to those who are soft core hehe

2. Stick together preferably close others
>if u can be with them in clusters its the best defense you get. Make them your human shield position yourself in place that you won't be an easier target specially when you are a supporting class.

3. Attack targets that already are under heavy fire but.. prioritize your kill in a strategic way
>yes its easiest to kill an opponent whose under fire but you need to look at the bigger picture.. It was said that having your own(solo) instant kill is better than sharing a kill with a bunch of piranhas (because of the chance kill and as I observed those who hit fast and hard mostly nailed the points). Strategic in a way to focus to those who started to respawn and running away for them to get their buffs because by the time they got full of everything your opportunity to kill is off.. Then you run to safety for your next kill.

4. When you are attacker or in some ways the defender, and you(with your allies) felt that you control the game shed-off all your defense gear and wear all war machine gears on and get ready to get berserk and tear everyone from sight.

Finally, try to prolong the game.. Not for the kill or points but ENJOY and have FUN too that's what matters most!! :heh:

Well, I thought it would be plain logic you attack targets that are under fire and you still have a chance on killing them. If you have ever fought a war pvp with a knight you know it is nearly impossible to solo, better to attack those that are already under attack.

What I meant is, you added that you should prioritize targets as well and not only go with the ones already under attack, and I replied that I didn't add that to my guide (which works for other classes in general as well by the way, it's in the post) since it's common sense.

If you are like this well happy you.. Because I am a team player not just egocentric in terms of points/honor..

Well I see where we got our misunderstanding..

Let me clear it out for you.. Correct me if I am wrong but what you are stating in your argument was in a knight's point of view.. Its kinda different than mine that's why i direct you to the title.. and my part in your post refers to playing CD in general. Cause for me when I stated that try to kill others rather than the ones being swarmed i meant that the person doing that would i assumed knows that he can take down that target without much problems unlike your knight who really takes time to take down (solo) kill.

Unfortunately, some players still insist to target alone. I hope that by the time this GA will teach them (and us) how to teamwork.

Sigh, I'll have to explain it longer I guess.
This was never meant to be egocentric. It is a guide for people having a rough time getting points, and it were only a few guidelines that you can follow and are not necessarily rules set in stone that you have to do. Also, it's not only a knights point of view, as I put on a note it works for anyone who has a rough time. Also, I made this in reply to people saying a knight can't get good points, as you have read. It's a help for those who say they can't get points. Is it really that egocentric? I'm just helping out.
If you saw the whole picture, you would also know I said I didn't add what you said to my guide, because it is common sense you shouldn't attack someone who gets attacked by seven people. All I meant was, that you should work together with your team, stay together, attack the same targets. If you work together, by for example attacking the same target, it is much more fun to do and you also have more chance on winning.
It is running around alone and attacking the weaker and the unbuffed ones that is egocentric. These guidelines I made apply to both egocentric and team players.

It's because people are idiots and target the wrong players.

bl4ckm4ge9, not all players are as filthy rich as you that they didnt need points on crystal.

if one sentence above arent sufficient to explain what I mean, read bellow

"let the community judge" seriously? you didnt even understand "why" jerremy make this guide (I think the title is not big enough maybe? cause the word themself is very clear)

some people actually need to get points on crystal game (I really do desprately need them)

when your objective is pts(or money), screw the "team work" part, if you disagree then you're really are that rich (that you didnt need more money/pts and just playing for fun)(and maybe you could give me some zulie in exchange for those pts I lost for being a "real team player")

There can never be a simple thread of positive feedback can there. I thought this was rather intuitive and would help players transitioning from a damage class to a tank class figure out their roles easier. yet people have to nit pick and just make every thread into a fight, I'm sorry jerremy, it is a very nice post and I apologize for our "community" pooping on it.
